Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix Predictions

F1 Italian Grand Prix Race Winner

Monza will provide the perfect back drop to a superb weekend of racing in Italy this weekend and plenty of big name drivers will fancy their chances.

Lewis Hamilton – $2.20

Having seen his Championship lead fall apart in recent weeks, defending champion Lewis Hamilton knows he has work to do as the bandwagon rolls into Italy. He will need to call upon all of his experience at this level from here on in this season and few would bet against him putting pressure on Verstappen from the outcome here. Hamilton has won this event on 5 previous occasions, and he will be desperate for another victory here.

Max Verstappen – $2.20

The Dutch Grand Prix proved to be the perfect tonic for Max Verstappen who got his Formula One title bid back on track with a dominant win. Red Bull undoubtedly have the quickest car on the grid this season and Verstappen will see this as a real opportunity to open his F1 title account. The Dutchman has never tasted victory at Monza before and if he was to get over the line here, it would open up a world of opportunity for him this term.

Valtteri Bottas – $15.00

Finn Valtteri Bottas has had his exit from Mercedes confirmed this week and how he would love to silence a few critics before he goes. He has long been playing second fiddle to Lewis Hamilton, but the emergence of George Russell looks to have forced Mercedes’s hand in recent weeks and Bottas is heading to Alfa Romeo for a change of scenery next term. He will see this as a completely free hit in Monza this week and that freedom could do him the world of good this weekend.

Sergio Perez – $28.00

Mexican Sergio Perez has been enjoying life in Red Bull’s seriously quick car this term and he has proved to be the perfect team mate in many ways for Max Verstappen. The only thing Perez has really missed of late is podium places, but he has the driving potential and the vehicle to push all the way in every race he’s in.

F1 Italian Grand Prix First Driver to Retire

Monza is a notoriously tricky track and with so much on the line, it could be an exciting weekend at the Italian Grand Prix:

Robert Kubica – $11.00

Stepping into the breach is no easy feat for any driver and Robert Kubica will need to have his wits about him from the off for Alfa Romeo. He is the reserve driver at Monza due to Kimi Raikkonen’s enforced COVID absence and whilst he is a proven performer, this a big ask to come in from the cold.

Daniel Riccardo – $25.00

Australian Daniel Riccardo has really been off the boil in recent weeks for McLaren and on a tricky track that he hasn’t registered too much previous success on, he could be a candidate to bomb out early in Italy.

F1 Italian Grand Prix Top Six Finish

Points are key at the later stages of the Formula One season and every driver on the grid will be vying to finish as high up the leader board as possible in Italy:

Lando Norris – $1.33

McLaren’s Lando Norris has enjoyed an excellent season and he would love to cap the campaign with more points on the board at Monza. He is a driver beyond his years that should revel in conditions here and he could be one to keep an eye on.

Charles Leclerc – $1.40

Ferrari are always vehemently backed at Monza and how Charles Leclerc would love to give the passionate fans something to cheer. Leclerc won this race back in 2019 and with plenty of track experience, he could be in the mix come Sunday afternoon.

Pierre Gasly – $2.50

Frenchman Pierre Gasly is a superbly talented driver and having won at this race last year, he will be desperate to go well again this term. Conditions look set to suit him and his fearless driving style looks to be made for Monza.
