Sweden vs Tunisia Preview
Group F concludes its opening round of games here, as Sweden and Tunisia prepare to square off in Monterrey.
For Sweden, this is their first World Cup appearance since their run to the last eight in 2018 and they will be looking to back that up here in 2026.
Tunisia have emerged as one of the most potent sides in African football over the past few years and they will be looking to have a real go at the Swedes here.
With the Netherlands and Japan being well backed to progress in Group F, both of these sides know the importance of this one, which should only add to the occasion.
Monterrey promises to provide the perfect backdrop for this one and here is a look ahead to Sweden vs Tunisia:
Best Bet
Following a few years in the relative doldrums, there is a real feeling of optimism surrounding Swedish football ahead of the World Cup.
Qualification looked a distant memory following a very patchy build up but the addition of Graham Potter as manager and benefitting from a strong UEFA Nations League showing has enabled the Swedes to make it to the 2026 World Cup.
On paper, this is arguably the best Swedish side in a generation, with the likes of Aleksander Isak and Viktor Gyokores both plying their trade for big clubs in the Premier League and leading the line for the Swedes.
Expectation will be firmly upon them here, against a traditionally tough to beat Tunisian side and it could be an attritional watch.
However, there is plenty of quality in Swedenโs ranks and even if they mix up their squad a bit, they should have enough in the tank to prevail here.
Same Game Multi Bet
While much of the build up to this one will focus on Sweden and their attacking talents, Tunisia are well known for being tough to beat.
Playing in their third consecutive World Cup, Tunisia are well accustomed to playing on the biggest stage and they will revel in having a strong defensive shape from the outset.
However, with star strikers and the likes of Anthony Elanga in wide areas, Sweden have plenty of attacking options.
The blue print looks set out for this one in Monterrey and it could be nail biting for the Swedes, but they should find a way to pull through and win this one.
Best Value Bet
Calling the score in any game of football is never easy but both Sweden and Tunisia will be desperate to keep things tight in this one.
Qualification from Group F can be achieved with just a couple of results and avoiding a heavy defeat, with games against the Netherlands and Japan upcoming, feels key.
Sweden have some star quality in their ranks, and they should be able to shuffle the pack to find a way to win the game, but Tunisia will make this tough, bringing the 1-0 correct score bet into play.
