It has been a World Cup to remember on so many levels. From the likes of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo bowing out in dramatic fashion, to the likes of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia producing incredible results in the group stages – it really has been a World Cup for all.

Staging the event in Qatar has been shrouded in controversy, which is set to rumble for years to come but on the pitch, the action has been as enthralling as ever.

Following comfortable semi-final wins last time out, France will take on Argentina in the final showdown, in what promises to be a battle of the two best teams in the world currently.

Elsewhere, two surprise packages will do battle for 3rd place, as Morocco and Croatia will both be out to end their impressive World Cup campaigns on the highest note possible.

Argentina vs. France: World Cup Final Predictions

France vs. Argentina

France ($2.85)

Argentina ($2.9)

Draw ($3.1)

It all comes down to this – one match to be crowned the champions of the footballing world, as France take on Argentina.

Defending champions France will be looking to clinch their second successive World Cup title – having cruised home at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and once again in 2022, they have looked like the side to beat.

Aside from a minor group stage blip against Tunisia, France have been impeccable in the World Cup so far and wins over England and Morocco in their last two games will give them real cause for optimism heading into the final.

Argentina meanwhile remain one of the most popular sides in world football and they will be keen to avenge their 2014 World Cup Final defeat to Germany here.

Key to the narrative around the final will be Lionel Messi, who will be desperate to lead his country to a World Cup title – the only major honour missing from his CV.

This should be a battle for the ages, with both sides eager to get the job done having come so far.

It could come down to extra time and penalties with the teams so evenly matched, but it does feel like it is Argentina and Lionel Messi’s time – making them our pick to lift the trophy here.

Betting tip: Argentina to lift the trophy ($2.25) Bet @ betr

Argentina to win on penalties
