3M Open Golf Preview

3M Open Best Bet – Bubba Watson @ $34

It has been too long since we’ve seen Bubba Watson contending for a PGA Tour victory and this week could be his week.

The long-hitting American finished T32 at The Memorial last week and that was a much-improved effort following two consecutive missed cuts.

We are not sure why Watson has gone off the boil so far in 2020, but we’re keeping the faith with the lovable character.

The 41-year-old is a multiple major winner at The Masters and that class shouldn’t take long to come back. He might have needed time to find his game following the break, so the odds are appealing this week.

$34 for a player of his class is good shopping and we’ll happily take the value on offer from bookmakers Bet Now

3M Open Best Value – Henrik Norlander @ $51

It wasn’t an easy start for Henrik Norlander on the PGA Tour, after qualifying via the Kornferry Tour. However, his recent form is inspiring and he could get the win this week.

The Swedish professional finished T6 at The Memorial and shooting –3 at a tough Muirfield course is a stellar effort. He should derive plenty of confidence from that outing and he is facing an easier field this week.

Norlander won’t be the name on everyone’s lips at the 3M Open, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see him fighting out the finish on Monday morning.

Players coming off a good showing often play well in the opening round, so the odds for First Round Leader at $51 is also good value Bet Now

3M Open Top English Player – Paul Casey @ $2.75

We got the chocolates for Best Australian with Jason Day last week, but we are changing tact and going with the top English player.

Tommy Fleetwood heads the market but there is more value with Paul Casey, who missed the cut last week but looked good prior.

He finished 11th at the WGC Mexico Championship in February and the former world #3 is classy when he’s on his game.

There are six players in this category but based on form, Fleetwood is the only golfer he has to worry about. Therefore, the $2.75 is a good price from bookmakers Bet Now

3M Open Top 10 Betting Predictions

The 3M Open is always a wide-open tournament and punters can find good value in the Top 10 markets.

Our first Top 10 pick is Matthew Wolff, who finished second behind Bryson DeChambeau at the Rocket Mortgage Classic three weeks ago.

He finished T22 at The Memorial and playing at TPC Twin Cities should suit the American better than Muirfield.

Wolff is currently $3.30 for a Top 10 finish and that is good value.

Our second player is Harris English at $4. English looked good last week when finishing T13 and that form could carry through to this week.

The 30-year-old is still trying to make his mark on the PGA Tour but his form this season has been impressive. It won’t take him long to win and the 3M Open is there for the taking this week.

A golfer at huge odds for a Top 10 finish is Charley Hoffman. He has the ability to be the first round leader and hold onto a Top 10 finish over the next three days.

He finished T7 at the Workday Charity Open and anything close to that form will see him in the mix this week.

Hoffman is paying $8 in this market and there is great value with that price.
