BMW Championship Tips & Predictions
—
BMW Championship Best Bet – Jon Rahm
Rahm plays his best golf in the BMW Championship, including a win in the 2020 edition.
The Spaniard has won six tournaments since that victory, including the 2023 Masters at Augusta in April.
He won that by four strokes over Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson, so it was a classy victory, and we think he can get back to winning form this week.
“The point of coming to the Playoffs is to give yourself the best chance to get to East Lake on the number one spot,” Rahm said. “I’ve done a pretty good job so far. Hopefully, this week I can have a good performance like I did last time, earn it, clinch it, and give myself the best shot for the win. It’s been a great year so far, so hopefully, I can end it off the way I started it.”
Punters get $10 for Rahm, which is an exceptional price.
Bet: Jon Rahm @ $10
BMW Championship Best Value – Lucas Glover
Lucas Glover is the hottest golfer on the planet right now after consecutive victories, so we can’t leave him out.
It’s near-on impossible to win three consecutive weeks, but the American journeyman is hitting the ball beautifully, and his mental game is strong.
Despite some nervy moments last week, which included winning in a playoff against our best value Patrick Cantlay, we’re prepared to jump on the bandwagon.
Bookmakers respect his chances of winning at $36, which is a value price.
Bet: Lucas Glover @ $36
BMW Championship Long Shot – Tom Kim
Tom Kim didn’t fire in the final round at the St. Jude Championship, but he looked good prior in the earlier rounds.
The American finished T24, which was a strong showing following a runner-up finish at the Open Championship against the best golfers in the world.
He’s one of the more promising young golfers and winning the BMW Championship isn’t beyond the 21-year-old, who doesn’t get enough credit for his age.
Punters get $34 from bookmakers, and we thought he would be much shorter in golf betting markets.
Bet: Tom Kim @ $34
BMW Championship Top 5 – Viktor Hovland
The Norwegian star finished just outside the top 10 last week and we think he can improve on that with a top 5 finish.
It’s not easy against this calibre of field, but with only 50 players in the tournament, his chances of finishing fifth or better are higher.
The $4.33 odds are generous, and he could make a play at rising the FedEx Cup rankings.
Bet: Viktor Hovland @ $4.33
BMW Championship Top 10 – Patrick Cantlay
The odds for Patrick Cantlay aren’t as generous at $1.73, but the American showed his prowess when losing in a playoff last week.
He plays his best golf during the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and although he’s not the most exciting golfer in the world, he is a worthy wager.
We wish we could get bigger odds for Cantlay, but he’s worth including in golf multi bets.
Bet: Patrick Cantlay @ $1.73
