John Deere Classic Tips & Predictions

John Deere Classic Best Bet – Sepp Straka

Repeat tournament winners are common on the PGA Tour, so we’re backing Sepp Straka to win consecutive John Deere Classic titles.

The Austrian has been in excellent form in 2024, and he wasn’t too far away when T23 at the Travelers Championship.

It was a solid effort, which followed a solid effort at the U.S. Open and a T5 performance at The Memorial.

The 31-year-old is a two-time PGA Tour winner, including the 2023 John Deere Classic and 2022 Honda Classic.

With the best players in the world enjoying some time off before The Open Championship, that leaves the likes of Straka to cash in.

The $17.00 odds are too good to pass up.

Bet: Sepp Straka @ $17.00

John Deere Classic Best Value – Sungjae Im

Money has come for Im, who finished T3 at the Travelers Championship, so he’s knocking on the door.

The 26-year-old South Korean is the equal favourite at $15.00, and although those odds might seem low, he’s a value pick for the John Deere Classic.

The two-time PGA Tour winner won the 2020 Honda Classic and 2021 Shriners Children’s Open. He hasn’t won for three years, so he’s overdue a win.

We expect money to come for him throughout the week, so take the $15.00 odds.

Bet: Sungjae Im @ $15.00

John Deere Classic Next Best – Jason Day

Australian Jason Day is always a threat to win a golf tournament, and although his form is mixed, he has handled better fields than this.

The 36-year-old Queenslander finished T44 in his most recent tournament, but he finished T4 at the Wells Fargo Championship behind Rory McIlroy.

Anything close to that performance would be good enough to win the John Deere Classic, and he’s being respected in golf betting markets.

He is a $23.00 chance, and we have taken shorter odds for Day in much stronger tournaments, so he’s worth including in selections.

Bet: Jason Day @ $23.00

John Deere Classic Best Roughie – Beau Hossler

A PGA Tour win has been a long time coming for Beau Hossler, but we’re keeping the faith with the American.

The former Texas college star is a $51.00 chance to win this week, and because of those odds, we’re happy to include him in selections.

It doesn’t seem to matter what form he’s in, Hossler can appear at any moment. His problem has been putting together four good rounds together, but he’s worth including in top 10 and top 20 bets.

He’s also worth backing straight up at the price. We expect him to start well and be right there in the thick of the finish.

Bet: Beau Hossler @ $51.00
