2023 Ryder Cup Prediction
Europe was a $2.10 chance for most of the week, but there has been a significant push for the hosts.
They are now $1.91 to win the Ryder Cup, so there is good betting market confidence, and we think it’s well-placed.
Despite not picking Sergio Garcia, who is Europe’s leading point scorer of all time, they have a fresh team, full of quality golfers of all levels.
Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm are the leaders, and they’re likely to lead from the front. Then they have new blood, including Ludvig Aberg, who scored a recent win on the DP World Tour, and if he handles the pressure, he should play well.
Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrell Hatton, and Matt Fitzpatrick are all built for team play, and there is more of a team atmosphere with the Europeans.
Team USA also has a quality team, but there are some interesting picks. Justin Thomas is horribly out of form, and we don’t think Brooks Koepka and Brian Harman will be a good fit for the team.
Koepka is an LIV player, and Harman is one of the least-liked players on the PGA Tour, so that could affect the team dynamic.
However, the USA has Scheffler, Spieth, and Cantlay, who provide plenty of excitement. It’s a formidable team up top, so they’ll look to do most of their damage in the opening pairings.
However, we’re backing Europe to win at $1.91. They will have most of the public support in Italy, and there seems to be great confidence coming from the camp.
We suggest taking the odds before they shorten even further.

Betting Brand for Golf Fans!Ryder Cup Top European Points Scorer – Jon Rahm
Rahm has all the experience needed to lead from the front, and we’re happy with the $6 available from bookmakers.
Rahm has an overall Ryder Cup record of 4-3-1, and although that won’t be enough to see him lead the Europeans this year, his experience of playing twice should help.
He’s unbeaten in foursomes, and it’s only the four-ball which he has struggled in with 1-2-1. However, it’s all about the pairings, and we expect Rahm to be paired well by captain Luke Donald.
Given the odds available, we’re putting Rahm on top. Punters could also have a saver bet on Hovland, who is playing career-best golf, and he seems relaxed.
The Norwegian star is another $6 chance at the sportsbook, which is worth taking.

Patrick Cantlay might be one of the more boring golfers, but he’s made for the Ryder Cup.
The American went 3-0-1 in his only appearance, so he’s one of the leading chances to win top American and top overall.
He’s on the second line of betting at $7 behind Scheffler ($5.50), so there is good betting support for the 31-year-old, who plays well beyond his years.
The eight-time PGA Tour winner should be a tough match for the Europeans, so expect him to score plenty of points.

Betting Brand for Golf Fans!Top Wildcard Points Scorer – Brooks Koepka
Koepka is one of the best golfers in the world, and he should lead the wildcards.
He’s the current $3.60 favourite to beat the likes of Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Jordan Spieth.
Despite Thomas having an excellent Ryder Cup record, he’s out of form, so that leaves Koepka above the rest.
The five-time major winner plays well in the biggest tournaments, so he’s made for the Ryder Cup.
