Valspar Championship Tips & Predictions
—
Valspar Championship Best Bet – Tommy Fleetwood
It’s not easy to bet on Fleetwood every week, but we’re sure the chase theory will pay off eventually.
The British golfer comes off another tidy performance at The Players, and although it gets marked down as another good tournament finish without winning, at least punters get a good sight for their money with him.
A model of consistency, Fleetwood is always worth including in golf picks, and we’re not surprised to see money come for the favourite. He opened at $13 before firming into $12, and although most of that money comes from punters hoping not to leave him out when he finally wins, it’s warranted betting movement.
Bet: Tommy Fleetwood @ $12.00
Valspar Championship Best Value – Justin Thomas
For all the money coming for Fleetwood, it’s the exact opposite situation for Justin Thomas.
The American opened as the $12 favourite and he has since drifted alarmingly to $21. We’re not sure why his odds have drifted so dramatically, but after a rollercoaster performance at Sawgrass last week, he could settle down at Copperhead and win.
Thomas bogeyed 18 at Sawgrass in the third round to tie the course record, but he followed it up with a shocker in Round 4. However, he’s a classy player at his best, and the two-time PGA Championship winner could score an overdue win.
Bet: Justin Thomas @ $21.00
Valspar Championship Next Best – Adam Scott
We didn’t get to see Adam Scott play on the weekend at The Players, but the Australian is worth including in Valspar Championship picks.
The 44-year-old shot two over par, so he wasn’t far off making the cut, and his experience of bouncing back from disappointment holds him in good stead this week. We thought he would be shorter than $34 with bookmakers, so there is good value in the price.
Scott brings a wealth of experience, and without the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy in the saddle, he could take advantage.
Bet: Adam Scott @ $34.00
Valspar Championship Top 20 – Michael Kim
31-year-old Michael Kim has had a career resurgence in 2025, and although he missed the cut at The Players, he shot even par for his first two rounds.
The American finished fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational behind Russell Henley, which followed a T6 at the Cognizant Classic and a T2 at the Phoenix Open. His form this year has been stellar, and despite having not won since taking out the 2018 John Deere Classic, he’s back to his best.
After dropping to 502nd in the world rankings following 19 missed cuts from 20 events in 2019, Kim has knuckled down and we think he’ll soon be rewarded with a win.
Kim is a $2.20 chance to post a top 20 finish at the Valspar Championship.
Bet: Michael Kim @ $2.20
