Wells Fargo Championship Tips & Predictions
—
Wells Fargo Championship Best Bet – Rory McIlroy
McIlroy is overdue a solo PGA Tour win, and although he won the Zurich Classic with Shane Lowry, he needs his confidence back.
His most recent win came in January, which came on the DP World Tour. However, despite his lack of quality solo tournament form, he’s a three-time winner of the tournament.
He loves playing at Quail Hollow, which is why he’s the only player at single-figure odds to win. He’s an $8.00 chance to win the Wells Fargo Championship, and we’re happy to stick with him.
McIlroy is one of the best players of all time, so his class should come through.
Bet: Rory McIlroy @ $8.00
Wells Fargo Championship Best Value – Xander Schauffele
Xander Schauffele is another player who is overdue a win, so we’re happy to give him another chance.
He’s one of the most consistent golfers on the PGA Tour, and although he’s struggling to win, he keeps giving punters a run for their money.
His performance at The Masters was terrific, and he only needs to start his tournaments better to have a chance on the weekend.
Punters get $10.00 for Schauffele to get back into the winners’ circle, and with the PGA Championship nearing, he should want to get back to his best form.
Include him in your Wells Fargo picks for tournament winner, top 10 and top 20 bets.
Bet: Xander Schauffele @ $10.00
Wells Fargo Championship Next Best – Tommy Fleetwood
There is a list of players who are overdue a win on the PGA Tour, and right near the top of the list is Tommy Fleetwood.
The Englishman has yet to win on the PGA Tour since arriving a few years ago, and despite playing well in the majors, a lack of wins is concerning.
However, because some of the best players in the world are out, including Scottie Scheffler and Ludvig Aberg, we’re happy to include him in selections.
We believe he’s good enough to win on the tour at some stage, and getting $26.00 means punters can back him consistently and eventually get a big pay day.
Bet: Tom Kim @ $26.00
Wells Fargo Championship Best Roughie – Akshay Bhatia
Akshay Bhatia is already a winner in 2024, so he enters our Wells Fargo Championship selections.
The American 22-year-old won the Valero Texas Open in a playoff against Denny McCarthy, which earned him a spot in The Masters.
He finished T35 at Augusta National, which was a fine effort for his first attempt at the tournament.
His most recent performance was a T18 at the RBC Heritage behind Scheffler, and we fancy his chances of scoring an upset.
Getting $41.00 is a value price with golf odds, and we’re backing him in a raft of markets, including top 20.
Bet: Akshay Bhatia @ $41.00
