Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.19PM Garrard’s Horse and Hound Novice – 520 metres
#1 Zane Herrera – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a real prospect for Darren Russell, was excellent winning his Vince Curry Heat showing plenty of fight to score in 30.87, beating home Manfred who finished second in the Group Three final.
Showed a good mix of speed and strength on that occasion, won’t be the first away but box one is a godsend, if he can stay in touch early will be finishing as strong as any of these apart from brother Jason who is first up and not drawn well in seven.
Race 2. 6.40PM Borgbet Tipping Service Masters – 520 metres
#4 Tevita Shadow – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ran a huge race here last week shuffled out the back last early he continued to rally eventually finishing a close up fourth.
Since then has gone back and won over the 550 metres at Bundaberg where he excels and trainer Peter Hare was clearly encouraged enough by his form to bring him back to Brisbane for another crack at a Thursday night win, of which he already owns three.
Race 3. 6.58PM Box 1 Photography Free For All – 600 metres
#2 Big Nose Johnny – Bet @ Sportsbet
Third up back in Queensland he gets to his most successful trip, eight starts for five wins and a minor from the six hundred metre boxes, he looks a likely leader from the two and if he has his six hundred metre legs under him will take catching.
Won most of his middle-distance races at the jump clearing out mid-race, Blame Brendan looks the only other on speed runner and has to overcome the seven.
Race 4. 7.19PM Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Pokie Payout – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been racing in super consistent form, never out of a place in his last five winning his Novice in 30.33 a fortnight ago the bitch looks a ready made five hundred metre chaser, more than capable early and late.
Sister of the talented Brother Jason is making a name for herself, has the speed to cross the one and two early and build on her Albion Park record.
Race 5. 7.40PM Sky Racing Fifth Grade Heat – 520 metres
#7 High Order – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t nailed in here at Albion Park, but on his ability it seems a matter of time until he brings his Ipswich credentials here for good.
Similar to Pokie Payout is a solid five hundred metre dog all around, gets out well, consolidates down the back and finds the line.
In an open fifth grade field he gets every chance to go forward from the seven, has gone 5.48 to the first mark which should see him on the bunny and humming with some slow starters either side.
Race 6. 7.58PM Borgbet Tipping Service Grade 5 – 710 metres
#4 Burnt Ends – Bet @ Sportsbet
Outstanding run finishing half a length third in the Listed Gold Cup behind Sunset Bourbski and Sir Truculent, two or the countries best stayers.
He now finds himself in Fifth Grade company, he should be leading these with his consistent box manners and despite looking flat mid-race last week proved his staying credentials taking ground off Sir Truculent in the run to the line.
As long as he hasn’t pulled up flat looks a good thing.
Race 7. 8.19PM Asset Body Corporate Bribie Island Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Jimary Spitfire – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has flown under the radar in a gun Fernando Bale/Clover Cottage litter which has also produced Ipswich Sprint winner Phantom Clyde and Casino Cup winner Phantom Bonnie.
Malcolm Ross has said he’s not as rapid early as the other two but is more suited to a strong five hundred metres, is coming off consecutive wins over that distance at Lismore a flying 29.72 from box seven last start.
Race 8. 8.43PM TAB Venue Mode Fifth Grade Heat – 520 metres
#6 Truthiness – Bet @ Sportsbet
Best dog in the field on his night, his 29.84 best here was a win to remember coming from well off the speed to storm over the top of them, has shown great field sense winning over the 395 metres from box eight in recent times as well.
Is usually moderately served at the start and will need the breaks to go his way from box six, but if he gets clear air down the back can come home in rapid time.
Race 9. 9.01PM Sennachie @ Stud Steve White Mixed ¾
#6 Tribal Magic – Bet @ Sportsbet
Seems to revel from these types of box draws holds her width at the first turn and can sit outside the leader likely to be Magical Bill going down the back.
That’ll be her chance to take over with six hundred metre experience she gets going her second split and closes off strong, has won three races here her best just last month 29.94.
Race 10. 9.24PM Orsen Allen @ Stud Grade 4 – 520 metres
#6 Sky’s The Limit – Bet @ Sportsbet
In form chaser albeit the results have been coming from the 431 metre start at Ipswich but has shown great consistency jumping well from the tough start and putting herself in the race.
She should do something similar here, a vacant box inside and a slow beginner in the four, she gets the chance to wind up early and recapture her 30.12 winning form here.
