Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.40PM Garrard’s Horse and Hound Novice – 520 metres
#6 Running Express – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Finished fourth overall in the Group Three Vince Curry Series and could have been a whole lot better, just wasn’t able to cross from a wide draw, something he did in winning both his heat and semi-final.
For a young dog is very professional, flies the lids, runs a straight line and hugs the fence when he gets there, first time at Albion Park is a question but looks the most highly credentialled of these at a good each-way price.
Race 2. 7.04PM Borgbet Tipping Service Free for All – 710 metres
#1 Waikarie Bell – $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has performed brilliantly over this trip in the past if she goes anywhere near her 41.59 best she’ll be winning this but does mix her form.
Has caught the eye over the six hundred last two weeks coming from last to miss by less than a length on both occasions, looks like she wants the seven hundred again.
Is ideally boxed, will likely be last in the run but will stick to the fence throughout and will be jumping out of the ground late likely tracking down Classy Ethics who looks the leader.
Race 3. 7.27PM Box 1 Photography Masters – 520 metres
#2 Phantom Laurie – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a special here, litter mate won here last week from box eight was one of the last out and ran over the top of the whole field, Phantom Laurie has been tackling that same dog at Lismore and Casino and winning comfortably.
Mal Ross doesn’t bring his dogs to Albion Park often but the Northern Rivers trainer knows when he’s a good chance and the sixteen-time winner should make it seventeen here.
Race 4. 7.49PM Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Fifth Grade – 600 metres
#1 Aristocratic Gal – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Not a prolific winner but always knocking on the door and has a chance to bang it down here if she can jump well and lead from box one, Townson Beach will take her on from the three but if she can hold up has the clear strength advantage.
Sprung the lids in the Group Two Golden Sands final only to be hindered badly at the first turn, will run all day great each-way play.
Race 5. 8.13PM Sky Racing Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Brother Jason – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Chaser has had huge raps on him well before his first start, trialled 29.7 around here before the Dave Brett Memorial where he raced waywardly and was tipped out for a month for a marring offence.
The kennel gave him hardly any work and he still showed up from a wide box last week and was too good for them, is desperate for the inside and will be much fitter for the run last week.
Race 6. 8.34PM Borgbet Tipping Service Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Pokie Payout – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Litter sister to Brother Jason, hasn’t shown the brilliance on the clock like he has but up until last start had run first of second in six straight starts.
Mustered well here last week and went to the lead out of the straight, got checked around the first turn and got well off the track and out of the race.
If she can go back to her form before that is up to this to her eyeballs, jumps reliably and runs on down the back, big chance at the quote.
Race 7. 8.56PM Asset Body Corporate Bribie Island Mixed ¾ – 520 metres
#4 All Hands Off – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Brilliant return after four months off the scene by this class bitch last week, ran the best time of the night by almost a third of a second and looked like she hadn’t missed a beat.
Litter mate Tribal Magic in the three should head for the fence giving her safe passage to the first turn, does her best work down the back and on the way home with some top class sectionals.
Race 8. 9.14PM TAB Venue Mode Grade 5 Final – 520 metres
#2 Truthiness – $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A dog who’s in peak form from a kennel who’s flying, Darren Johnstone’s sprinter is well and truly at home at Albion Park and maps to get a perfect run behind the speed here.
If he can sit on the back of Jimary Spitfire and Battle his run home is far superior to his two main rivals and he knows how to take a gap when it presents itself, coming off a win last week.
Race 9. 9.32PM Sennachie @ Stud Steve White Grade 5 – 600 metres
#2 Kooringa Lucy – $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is in the red for good reason, was brilliant winning here ten days ago in 34.8 on a slow track, comes up with box two should either lead of sit out the pace and have too much in the tank.
Former star sprinter who’s run 29.6 around here come go with them early and run over them late, perfect blend for a six hundred metre bitch.
Race 10. 9.52PM Orsen Allen @ Stud Masters – 520 metres
#3 Infrared Lad – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Never thought this chaser would go around an $8 chance in any race, he’s past his prime but still chases his heart out every week and from a low draw with not much speed inside could find himself in the first few early.
Has six hundred and seven hundred metre experience and will be air borne late if there’s anything to chase down.
