Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.19PM Albert Bunny Hewton Novice – 520 metres
#8 Trivet – $13 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Tangled with a few of these in the Group Three Vince Curry final where he was far from disgraced finishing fifth, a lot of his rivals are seeing the track for the first time and while he doesn’t have the pace to go with them early will pounce if there’s trouble.
Expect the six and seven to go forward giving him safe passage to take his time from box eight, there’s a risk he gets too far back but with the price disparity looks the one to take on.
Race 2. 6.40PM Hedley White Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Kiss and Cut – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
First time over the five hundred is always a test but the Crawford kennel is in flying form and this swift short course bitch gets her first look at box one in her career something she should reish with her early dash.
If she punches up inside In and Out he could run good interference to the outside brigade who will be stronger home but giving the leader a head start they won’t be able to reel in.
Race 3. 6.58PM Jim Neary Grade 5 – 710 metres
#2 Burnt Ends – $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been up over the seven hundred for some time now the kennel clearly think he’s still to hit his peak and he’s run third in the Listed Gold Cup only beaten by Sir Truculent and Sunset Bourbski, Group One dogs.
Is usually rapid out and should go straight to the lead from the two, his main rival is Aristocratic Gal who can stay but is very one paced he should open up a big margin on her mid-race and have enough to hold on.
Race 4. 7.19PM Neil Beaton Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#4 Farmor Watchers – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Four from four at track and distance says it all, his consistency has been phenomenal since stepping up always under thirty-five seconds with a 34.76 best, has made a habit of jumping to the lead and should again here.
There’s a vacant to his inside no pace in the two, Classy Ethics is a threat in box one but likes to run wide and Maggie Moo Moo in box seven is more accustomed to the seven hundred, look for five from five.
Race 5. 7.40PM Ray Underwood Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Louis Rumble – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Will look to justify his short quote with another sparkling performance around The Creek he’s already won four from six here with a best of 29.72 which would have landed him second on Group Three Golden Ticket night.
Only worry here in Transgenic in the seven, he wants the fence and if Louis Rumble isn’t on his best box manners could find himself squeezed up early, has plenty of track sense to get out of it.
Race 6. 7.58PM Mavis Bellamy Grade 4 – 520 metres
#1 Tribal Magic – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Throw her recent form out the window this is a quality bitch at track and trip who’s been crying out for an easier race and most of all an inside draw where she’s only missed the money once in seven starts.
Has the potential to hold these out with a 5.5 early section and is a different bitch when she gets on the lure, has run 29.94 here from the one and can run out six hundred metres if need be, get a piece of her each-way.
Race 7. 8.19PM John McKnoulty Fifth Grade Final – 600 metres
#4 Kooringa Lucy – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Outstanding performance last week on a night where the times were slow with a wet track, she rattled off a personal best 34.69 over the six hundred metres, she’s only recently stepped up and is already smashing the line.
Her success will be predicated on getting away well which she should from the middle draw, may not lead like last week but if she’s camped on them it’s trouble for the rest.
Race 8. 8.43PM Peter Ruetschi Best 8 – 520 metres
#3 All Hands Off – $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had no right to run the race she did after being flattened at the start, was beaten home by the very smart Speranza who was much closer in the run and she was able to abbreviate the margin to a length on the line.
Valentino Fox is the concern in box two he likes to get up the track so she’ll have to be on her toes early to avoid him, if she’s in the first four around the turn should be winning.
Race 9. 9.02PM Jack Houston AM Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Pre Cruise – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Gets her chance here from a rails draw, can race erratically at times but seems to grow another leg when drawn near the fence, her 30.05 best was from box two hear.
Is not necessarily the leader but will hold her spot on the fence and save plenty of ground in the run, a lot of these are still searching for Albion success where she’s had it.
Race 10. 9.20PM Beverley Behm Masters – 520 metres
#4 It’s a Trick – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
More known for his six and seven hundred exploits is making a good living over the sprint trip in masters company rattling home from back in the field.
Can jump on occasion and if you see him sitting inside or outside the leader you’re looking good because his run home is up there with all of these.
