Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 5.57PM Garrard’s Horse and Hound Novice – 520 metres
#7 Ringbark Ragnar – Bet @ Sportsbet
Caught the eye last week being trapped wide at the first turn he continued to surge throughout the run, almost won the race just ran into traffic in the home straight.
The time was only moderate, but considering the circumstances it was a huge run, if he can leave slightly better from another wide draw looks the one that’ll be closing off best.
Race 2. 6.19PM Thankyou Annette Lacey Masters – 520 metres
#4 Tevita Shadow – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has won three races here at Albion Park under the watch of Tony Apap, breaking thirty at his best before recently moving to Peter Hare’s Bundaberg kennels where he’s been relishing the 550 metres.
Has always been a dog who needs luck early but if he gets in comes home with a bang, looks perfectly placed in this company.
Race 3. 6.43PM TAB Queensland Short Course Final Open – 331 metres
#3 Magical Cyndie – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Elson kennel have a wonderful tradition in this race winning the last two running’s and the best of their two chances looks to be this bitch who has only missed the money once in a dozen starts over the short course.
Incredibly consistency over the trip and she’ll be primed to run right down around her 18.67 best from box three.
Race 4. 6.58PM Borgbet Tipping Service Mixed ¾ – 520 metres
#1 Copy Workshop – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has found a second wind late in his career getting back up in grade after a couple of good showings against similar company to this.
Has always run a few lengths quicker when drawn box one, Special Bill and Speranza are the class from boxes seven and eight but might be the undoing of each other early.
Race 5. 7.19PM RQ Country Cup Final Open – 520 metres
#4 Stratford – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has had an outstanding preparation for this race, a huge run to qualify at home in Townsville, followed by a 24.18 post to post and a 29.93 runner-up performance on Monday night here.
Was able to sit just behind the speed on that occasion and will be banking on a similar run from box four, should show natural improvement.
Race 6. 7.40PM Garrard’s Gold Cup Listed Final – 710 metres
#7 Sunset Bourbski – Bet @ Sportsbet
She lived up to the hype last week drifting back to last from box one before hooking around the entire field to win running away.
The Dailly kennel have been desperate for an outside draw with her and she gets that here, expect her to give the leaders a lot of rope again, but that’s the way she races, third week in Queensland should be at her peak.
Race 7. 7.58PM Box 1 Photography Grade 5 – 600 metres
#3 Power Point Diva – Bet @ Sportsbet
She led up in her Gold Cup heat last week over the seven hundred but found the distance a bridge too far, if she’s pulled up well for that run this looks an ideal event to bounce back.
Should lead the inside brigade and does her best work rolling along out in front, recently broke thirty-five seconds over the middle-distance and is on the rise.
Race 8. 8.42PM Garrard’s Gold Bullion Group One Final – 520 metres
#2 Little Byrnes – Bet @ Sportsbet
You’ll get plenty of bang for your buck with this young pup, a surprise heat winner he can run a lot quicker than what he did that night and the box draw has played out in his favour looking the likely early leader from box two.
There’s plenty of pressure coming down from outside on top of superstar Shima Shine who deserves favouritism and there might just be a boilover, good each-way bet.
Race 9. 9.02PM Motorhub Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Paint Face – Bet @ Sportsbet
Drops back from the Gold Bullion heats where she was a distant second to Sentenced, but still ran on gamely from a tough draw and continued her recent surge of good form.
Professional race bitch, leaves the lids well, avoids trouble and had developed a strong run home which could prove the difference here.
Race 10. 9.24PM Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Black Mirage – Bet @ Sportsbet
Only has a Novice win to her name here at track and trip but it was some run coming from no where with a huge last sectional to nab the leader in 30.14.
Hasn’t been great out of the boxes but does own a 25.18 win at Ipswich over the shorts which says she has decent muster, if she can sit just off speed looks likely to run on again.
Race 11. 9.40PM Sky Racing Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Happy Hornet – Bet @ Sportsbet
Beginning to come into his own the more stars he gets under his belt, ran a slick 30.19 finishing second two back and ran on well into third from the cheap seats last start.
If he gets around the corner in the front half of the field he’d be favourite to run the leaders down here, jumps out of the ground late.
Race 12. 10.01PM Borgbet Tipping Service Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 In Tune – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has taken him twenty starts to hit his stride but looks like the penny’s dropped with back to back 30.39 and 30.26 performances here leading from box six.
Has shown he can handle the wide draw and is racing in form and track and trip which you can’t say for most of this field.
