Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.41PM Box One Photography Novice – 520 metres
#4 Preston Lee – $3.30 – Bet Now
Gets another chance after a luckless run from box eight in the Eric Thomson Memorial maiden Final last week, had a wall of greyhounds inside him never got into the race.
Showed up big time on debut a 30.08 run with strong sectionals all the way around, he should have the inside brigade covered for speed early and will have no problem going on with it.
Race 2. 7.04PM Garrard’s Horse and Hound Novice – 520 metres
#3 Bar Girls – $7 – Bet Now
Steps out over the 520 metres for the first occasion, but on her Ipswich wins in 25.20 is a big chance to pinch a significant break on these early and take some running down.
Tommy Tzouvelis doesn’t bring them to the big smoke if he doesn’t think they’re ready, she may get tired late, but each way quote is very enticing.
Race 3. 7.25PM Asset Body Corporate Bribie Island Masters – 520 metres
#5 Georgie Mac – $3 – Bet Now
Made a rare mistake and missed the start in last week’s Master’s final, she’s usually a gun out of the boxes so expect a bounce back in a much easier race this week.
Form behind Regal Opal in the heats the week before looks strong, she should lead these and third up back over the 520 metres gets her chance to run out the trip.
Race 4. 7.49PM MP SANITIZE.COM.AU Free For All – 710 metres
#8 Classy Ethics – $2 – Bet Now
Jeff Crawford’s Group One Queensland Cup winner is going from strength to strength, her run in the Ipswich Grand Prix was huge closing on Velocity Bettina late after overcoming box eight which she gets again here.
There are no Velocity Bettina’s in this race, and she’s shown the class to off set a nasty draw with early and mid-race pace and now has a strong finish to boot, top pick.
Race 5. 8.10PM GPP Laser 3300 Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#1 All Hands Off – $3 – Bet Now
What a cracking contest here, Fred Swain’s bitch who’s unbeaten at the track narrowly gets the nod over Ipswich Young Guns winner Federal Morgan, with Valentino Fox a clear danger as well.
All Hands Off was one of the last away from box seven last week and still found the pace to muster around the outside running 29.89 after three months away from Albion Park.
Gets box one for the first time which should only help, Federal Morgan may cross her early but he’s coming off two tough Ipswich runs and may be a bit vulnerable late and All Hands Off has the strength to pounce.
Race 6. 8.34PM Orsen Allen @ Stud Grade 4 – 520 metres
#2 Special Cyndie – $2.20 – Bet Now
Gets her chance to rediscover her Brisbane Cup form here after a disappointing few runs by her lofty standards, has dropped a bit of weight lately look to see if she’s put some back on this week as a guide.
She can camp on Charming Chaos here who has the speed to lead from the one but hasn’t run over 520 for a long time and Special Cyndie should get a perfect drop on her and a chance to run time again.
Race 7. 8.55PM Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Grade 5 – 600 metres
#4 Blue Diva – $7 – Bet Now
A lot of interest is around Sequana here at $2, she’s won both her starts at the 600 but both have been in Monday night company and from much easier draws than box seven.
Blue Diva is tried and tested at the distance and in this company, you know what you’re going to get out of her, she’ll push forward early try to lead and run an honest race.
Would much rather take her on each way basis than Sequana odds on from an outside draw.
Race 8. 9.19PM Sennachie @ Stud Steve White Best 8 – 520 metres
#6 Oh Mickey – $1.80 – Bet Now
Group One champion was desperately unlucky in the Ipswich Young Guns on Saturday night, bursting for a run the whole way but couldn’t find a way past Federal Morgan.
Before that he gave the track record a scare something, he’s done here at Albion Park too and in a Best 8 devoid of genuine early speed he should lead for fun and run time while he’s doing it.
Race 9. 9.37PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 600 metres
#6 Fire Drill – $5 – Bet Now
Drops back from Free For All company last week where he ran on well into third behind Big Boy Bruce, finds a much easier field is just going to need some luck around the first turn with Split Sound set to run some possible interference from box seven.
Has displayed a great mid-race turn of foot and has been getting stronger and stronger over the middle distance, if he can land in the first half of the field watch out.
Race 10. 9.59PM Sky Racing Masters – 520 metres
#8 Flyaway Barb – $13 – Bet Now
A bitch well and truly capable of knocking over this relatively week master’s race on her day, in a field with not many recent winners taking a shot at her at $13 is worth a go.
Better known for her staying prowess every now and again she can spring the lids at the 520 metres, if she can find a decent spot around the first turn, she really gets motoring late, represents great value.
Race 11. 10.20PM Brisgreys.com Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Oodles of Noodle – Bet Now
Has some handy form to her name behind Marske and Magical Cyndie, very reliable bitch early can go 5.50 to the first mark which should see her leading and sticks on well with a 30.11 best.
Gets her chance to put a gap in them down the back and set up a race winning lead.
