Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.39PM Sky Racing Novice – 520 metres

#3 Engage – $5 – Bet Now

Finally gets an inside draw at Albion Park after being posted in the six and the eight his last two starts and despite being inconvenienced has worked home well.

A 30.65 winner from a similar draw at Ipswich three starts ago tells you this mad railer is ready to take the next step at Albion Park, he’ll likely have to do it chasing favourite Mayoress though who is lightning early from the two.

He should get the sit on her back and rail the whole way home and get up late.

Race 2. 6.57PM Garrard’s Horse and Hound Masters – 520 metres

#5 Bekim Express – $3.50 – Bet Now

Ex New South wales runner looked right at home third up at Albion Park on Monday night exploding over the top of them late for an eye catching win.

Don’t throw your ticket away if he’s out the back of this field early that’s his racing pattern, looks extremely well graded in masters company and will be running home over the top of these with far luck.

Race 3. 7.19PM TAB Long May We Play Masters – 520 metres

#5 Smashniak Double – $5 – Bet Now

Former top-grade short courser at Albion Park hasn’t missed a place in Masters Grade his last four starts, two wins coming in that window as well.

There’s a raft of early pace in this event but he’s shown he can do it from any box, while other main chances She’s Some Gal and Proper Gent should inconvenience each other Smashniak Double looks to get a straight run to the first turn, has shown good guts late to run out the trip as well.

Race 4. 7.40PM Orsen Allen & Meticulous Lodge Grade 5 – 600 metres

#3 Fire Drill – $8 – Bet Now

This enigmatic chaser finally broke through over the middle distance at Ipswich last time out, he’d been promising big things with a lightning middle sectional but stuck on well over the 630 metres.

Comes back 30 metres to the 600 here and is in better company at Albion Park, but in this wide open race represents great value at $8.

Boxes one and two are slow away if he can show his usual early speed and put himself in a position around the first corner it’s going to take something powerful to run him down.

Race 5. 8.04PM Mick Byrne Memorial Final Grade 5 – 520 metres

#4 Rio Valiente – $5 – Bet Now

Huge run when third behind Frog’s Hollow in the heats last week, was flushed right off the track from box eight at the first turn took the contact and kept on coming.

Made up a good five lengths down the back and understandably got a little tired late, but the run couldn’t be ignored.

Only issue here is a middle box but he’s been generally well away and if he crosses Eulogia in the three he won’t be caught.

Race 6. 8.25PM TAB Queensland Cup Group One – 710 metres

#1 Velocity Bettina – $1.75 – Bet Now

Did what a lot of people thought she couldn’t last week and beat a Group one field from box eight.

Had to work overtime in the early and middle stages to eventually take up her favoured role at the front, had every right to get tired late but kept charging.

Six for six in her career from box one, boxes win big races and if she bounces like she normally does should put a gap in them mid race too large for any of these to bridge.

Race 7. 8.49PM Sennachie @ Stud Best 8 – 520 metres

#2 Stinger Noir – $2.90 – Bet Now

Ran an admirable third behind Hooked On Scotch in the Brisbane Cup Heats last week and hasn’t taken a step back from Queensland’s best greyhounds in the last two months.

Is the only true Free For Aller here and it looks his time to get a win on the board from a suitable draw, if he’s close enough early he’ll run most down here.

Race 8. 9.13PM Sky Racing Brisbane Cup Group One – 520 metres

#2 Who Told Stevie – $6 – Bet Now

Is often in the shadow of litter brother and race favourite Simon Told Helen, but the merit of his heat run and a plumb draw have him right in the mix to snatch his first Group One.

Most of the speed and fancied runners are drawn towards the outside of the track, he has only Special Cyndie inside and Shakey Diesel outside who are good beginners and not brilliant.

He should be able to find the fence first and if he gets on the bunny has run remarkable time in Victoria, great each way play.

Race 9. 9.37PM Asset Body Corporate Bribie Island Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres

#1 Naturally Gifted – $6 – Bet Now

Doesn’t run a bad race the former North-Queenslander has made a name for herself at headquarters running solid sectionals all the way around, box one is a huge advantage here and $6 is a great each way price.

All the early speed in the race comes from box four out, even if she is crossed early she should get the camp on them from box one and with 600 metre form to her name is a big chance to come over the top.

Race 10. 9.58PM Box 1 Photography Grade 5 – 520 metres

#2 Chanticleer – $4.50 – Bet Now

Big win here last week buffeted at the first turn and still managed to balance up and chase down the leaders who had a significant break on her.

Comes up with a similar draw in the two where she should be beaten out by Isn’t She Special in the one, but loves to drop to the rail and maps to get a lovely run in transit before doing her best work late.

Race 11. 10.17 Pm Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge grade 5 – 520 metres

#1 Hope’s Dynamic – $2.90 – Bet Now

Exciting new dog on the scene won a lot of races early which got her up in Grade, couple that with unsuitable box draws and she’s struggled her last few.

Is a different bitch in her right company and from box one, looks the likely leader here and had been teasing the thirty second barrier, look for her to lead and win.
