Albion Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.22PM TAB Long May We Play Novice – 520 metres
#8 Little Byrnes – $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Wowed on debut at Ipswich breaking twenty-five seconds at his first start as an eighteen-month-old pup, straight to the front and extended away.
Trainer John Catton took a shot at the Listed Rising Stars last week and missed but brings the dog back to Novice grade this week where he has the early speed to cross this field and with no proven run on dogs looks the likely winner here.
Race 2. 6.40PM BORGBET Tipping Service Masters – 520 metres
#1 Oblivinator – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ran a huge race last week, showed early toe to get to the front from box four and finished off in a time of 30.04 good enough to win just about any Master’s race but Are Jay Lochie got he charmed run and was too good on the night.
Doesn’t run a bad race and strung two wins together in this grade from this draw last month, generous price.
Race 3. 7.04PM Garrard’s Horse and Hound Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Fireball Sam – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t struck winning form since returning from a spell four starts ago but has run some tough races at Ipswich and if he can begin jumping like he did last preparation is the clear leader here in a field of run on dogs.
Most of these have a 30.3 best around Albion Park, Fireball Sam has been down around the 30 flat mark on multiple occasions and will strip fitter for the run here last week.
Race 4. 7.22PM Wyvern Dash Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Hara’s Olaf – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was beaten comfortably in his Rising Stars heat last week but only by the freakish Frieda Las Vegas, he still ran 30.03 in third backing up his 29.83 performance earlier in the week.
Gets a nice trail into the race with Flying September taking him across from box three, is very strong home can sit off the leaders and come over the top at a nice price.
Race 5. 7.43PM RQ Supports Safety in Racing Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#7 Blue Day – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Perfect draw for this dog who has been racing in peak form only behind names like Sequana, Farmor beach and Mrs. Sing with strong run on placings.
Loves the outside boxes giving him time to wind up for long sustained sprints, has no pace outside him and maps to get across outside or ahead of Shorino, which should be a great duel.
Race 6. 8.07PM Box 1 Photography Free for All – 600 Metres
#8 Big Boy Bruce – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
It’s been a long time between wins when it comes to this consistent superstar, he’s going as well as ever just needs to get around that first bend in the front couple to be a real threat.
Has been posted in box eight over the six hundred two times recently and has the pace to begin well and not get flushed wide, ignore the form, top chance.
Race 7. 8.28PM Sennachie @ Stud Steve White Grade 5 – 710 metres
#7 Stellar Stone – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Showed she was a genuine stayer steaming home over the top of them in 42.13 a fortnight ago, since went back to the 630 at Ipswich and wanted more ground late.
She should let the speed go at the start here Rose Ali will stay off the track in box eight and Aristocratic Gal will head for the fence in box six, she should be chiming in at the right end of the race.
Race 8. 8.52PM Motorhub Listed Rising Stars – 520 metres
#8 Hara’s Clyde – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Finally showed his brilliance at Albion Park last week coming from well off the pace to run over the top of Limited Edition and Blue Day breaking thirty for the first time in the process.
He’s a confidence dog and has now won four out of his last five and is ideally suited to box eight, can course wide at the first turn and continue to run on, excellent each way chance.
Race 9. 9.14PM ST Leo’s Simp Cup Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Terror Turtle – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been nearing a win here from some time, runs a lot of placings due to his get back flash home style but box two is ideal here, he’ll scrape the paint the whole way and take all the gaps.
Is consistently around the 30.20 mark which should get it done against this field.
Race 10. 9.32PM Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Masters – 520 metres
#1 Open My Mail – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
If he stays within a few lengths of them at the start it should be shut the gate stuff, powerful dog who runs a mean second and closing sectional, just has to avoid getting walled off at the first turn.
Has won two from four from box one and finds the right race here to improve that record.
