Angle Park Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 7.10PM TAB Long May We Play Mixed – 600 metres

#7 Stanley Keeping – $2.20 –  Bet @ Sportsbet

Would almost make him the special of the night in race one, had been running second consistently over the five hundred since coming to South Australia and looked like he was crying out for further.

Troy Murray obliged and took him to the 643 metres at Gawler where he won in strong fashion from box eight, has since run 30.13 over the sprint here missing by half a length.

Only needs to avoid trouble from the eight and looks his race for the taking in restricted grade.

Race 2. 7.28PM Greyhounds as Pets Open – 515 metres

#4 Oakvale Blue – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has been a stalwart here at track and trip and demands attention here after chasing home South Australian Sprint champion Coorong Lucy in 29.78 last week, a significant personal best.

The dog rose to the occasion in Open Company a sign he thrives on competition and if he gets away in 4.38 again will be leading these.

Air Marshall is a danger coming of a three-peat over the shorts at the provincials but may struggle first up.

Race 3. 7.49PM 2021 SA Launching Pad Mixed – 515 metres

#2 Gemtree Maximus – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks a ready-made Angle Park star winning three of his first five, each win more impressive than the last culminating in a 29.77 effort from box eight last week where he set an insane 4.33 first section.

With that explosiveness he should be straight on the fence and not have to worry about crossing a field, Victa Reid looks a prospect in the six and may abbreviate the gap late for quinella players.

Race 4. 8.10PM 2021 SA Launching Pad Mixed – 515 metres

#1 Rosie Red – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Another favourite who looks impossible to toss, went around even shorter last week after running behind Jack’s Well in listed company and despite a tardy start rattled away in the middle section on the way to posting 29.73.

Jack’s Well has franked the form winning over the six hundred and second week in the red she looks like she’ll only get stronger, give a heavy push into a Stanley Keeping, Gemtree Maximus, Rosie Red all up.

Race 5. 8.28PM SA Launching Pad Mixed – 515 metres

#4 Victa Grosso – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Another one will brilliant form lines, has bumped into Gemtree Maximus, Jack’s Well and beaten Stanley Keeping in his last five starts never missing the money along the way.

Is only moderately served early which is the only concern from box four, but there are no flyers either side and he should get his chance to find clear galloping at some point and looks to have the strength and experience advantage.

Race 6. 8.49PM Sky Racing Grade 6 – 515 metres

#7 Toby West – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Young chaser just beginning to find his way here at Angle Park, has tased success over the sprint trip and showed ability over the five hundred metres when running second here in 30.26 beaten less than a length two starts ago, was then beaten seven lengths in 30.31 by Gemtree Maximus.

Would prefer him with an inside draw but has handled box five well here on both occasions and the seven is not much different in a small field, will be running home strongest.

Race 7. 9.13PM BGC Industrial Cleaning Supplies Grade 5 – 515 metres

#4 Runaway Lad – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

In a field where the majority haven’t tasted success here at track and trip this chaser has done so four ties in just seven attempts, breaking thirty second while he’s at it.

Won here from box four two starts ago when turning it on in the middle and closing sectionals to come home a 30.21 winner a time that likely has these covered.

Race 8. 9.34PM Giddy-Up Stake Grade 5 – 515 metres

#3 Classic McLaren – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Probably doesn’t get the respect he deserves here, a five-time winner at the track he’s often been beaten by the likes of Coorong Lucy, but drops back to a Fifth Grade here and should get every chance for a clean getaway from the three.

Best first sectional was 4.37 from box three if she can go near that she’ll be leading and making some of these do the chasing, looks juicy at the price.

Race 9. 9.56PM Accell Therapy Free for All – 731 metres

#4 Springvale Anna – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Massive effort here last week to overhaul Miss Bellawood in the home straight after getting well back in a small field, for a bitch who’s only had five seven hundred metre starts she was able to come from near last to track down the leader.

As long as that effort hasn’t taken too much out of her she looks every chance of beating her rival again and could even land closer in the run in the small field.

Race 10. 10.14PM XP3020 Mixed – 600 metres

#1 Tapestry Tears – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Hasn’t fired since coming to South Australia from New South Wales where she was a winner over the six hundred at The Gardens and Gosford, has not seen the rail since arriving and gets her second crack here after a respectable 35.46.

With no world beaters here she should get the chance to use her alley to find clear running room and run these off their legs.
