Angle Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 7.10PM 2022 John Gray Fifth Grade Heat One – 530 metres
#8 Threaten – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has found a second wind more than eighty starts into his career, a pair of wins leading into this one headlined by a 30.59 win here at the track.
That was his first win here but he’s won everywhere else he’s been and with a slick first sectional will be up on the speed making his own luck.
Race 2. 7.28PM 2022 John Gray Fifth Grade Heat Two – 530 metres
#4 Springvale Maddi – $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Went up a very short favourite last start and got rolled unexpectedly, form before that had been outstanding in feature company here running sub 30.50.
Has a crazy first sectional of 5.09, one of the fastest of any dogs to the post here, if she recaptures that speed they can’t go with her.
Race 3. 7.49PM 2022 John Gray Fifth Grade Heat Three – 530 metres
#1 Mr. Ticket – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Brings outstanding New South Wales credential to this race with recent runs behind Zipping Kyrgios and NSW Phoenix runner Billy Creek.
The dog’s gone as quick as 29.94 at Wentworth Park which is serious going, there is always the first up threat, but if he’s settled in looks the goods.
Race 4. 8.10PM 2022 John Gray Fifth Grade Heat Four – 530 metres
#8 Barbados Express – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
He’s known as an out and out stayer now but he’s the type of dog that will always be able to drop back in distance and be competitive given his early speed.
Has been racing brilliantly winning Free for All’s and finishing second, if he’s close enough around the first bend he’s the one to beat.
Race 5. 8.28PM John Gray Fifth Grade Heat Five – 530 metres
#3 Freddy Reiko – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Numerical form is far from jumping off the page but hasn’t been getting beaten far by the likes of Harbor Blues, Gemtree Maximus and Sunset Toxic, all of which would be winning this.
Not lightning early, so will rely on the box to find a sweet pot in the run, definitely looks over the odds at the current quote.
Race 6. 8.49PM Farewell Matt Corby Open – 530 metres
#8 Lady Fernando – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A lot of the interest in this race is around Memphis Keeping, the dog in unbeaten four from four since coming to SA, but he’s never met a field with this talent and is drawn to get bother.
This race looks made for a dog coming off the speed and Lady Fernando fits the bill, she’s won her only start at the track and is a frequent winner over the 531 at Gawler.
Race 7. 9.13PM Caleb Bond on Sky News Grade 5 – 600 metres
#4 Sold No Houses – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Followers of this dog will be tearing their hair out with four straight seconds but he just hasn’t found his right race yet, beaten by some classy types.
Does everything you want out of a six hundred dog, jumps and consolidates through the middle stages, due to break the drought.
Race 8. 9.37PM 2022 South Australian Sprint Championship Listed Final – 530 metres
#1 Stout Monelli $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
He was disappointing last week for the first time in his South Australian career but the main thing is he’s here for the final and drawn the red could run some serious time if he gets away.
Has just been getting held up not quite crossing from wider boxes, has always been geared towards this race and would be a well deserved South Australian champion.
Race 9. 9.57PM Book the Angle Park 8’s Grade 6 – 530 metres
#8 Archman – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Three hundred up to five hundred is a big jump in distance, but it can be done and trainer Peter Jovanovic clearly thinks Archman has what it takes after his last start win.
Has started odds on in both of his race starts, he’s clearly above average and should lead these for fun.
Race 10. 10.15PM TAB Make a Date Grade 6 – 530 metres
#8 Sir Benjamin – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
No luck for punters who followed last week at long odds, he was still very raw and when copping a check early was never in the race.
Still late he surged past a few dogs, there’s more than a little bit of talent there and if he can mind his own business early from the wide draw he finds a very easy race.
Race 11. 10.33PM Fresh Food Pet Co Open – 730 metres
#7 Frankie Boy – $1.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The young star returns to his stomping ground after a rare unsuccessful hitout at Gawler, back to Angle small field, it all points in the direction of another win.
Not only a chance for another win but an opportunity to enhance his credentials with what will be a dominant display.
Race 12. 10.55PM Sky Racing Grade 6 – 530 metres
#2 Stranger Tides – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was only starting his career out winning a maiden here a few months ago and has since added five more wins, the trajectory is pointing up.
Has placed his last three starts here in feature company, back to grade six should be a little too talented for this field.
