Angle Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 7.07PM Book the Angle Park 8’s Free for All – 730 metres
#3 Lashes Monelli – $1.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was a promising type a month ago when first winning in Adelaide and is now in the conversation as a potential Group Class stayer taking down the likes of Fantastic Radley, Bedrock Fred and Sir Truculent.
She meets none of those here and in a small field will drop to last as usual and round them up with a bit in hand, hence the skinny quote.
Race 2. 7.25PM Sky Racing Maiden – 530 metres
#5 High Octane – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Not much value here either but this pup should make amends for going under at a similar quote last week, when he didn’t lead he just didn’t pick up.
He’s beautifully bred and if he is able to live up to what he’s been trialling should go straight to the front and put a gap on these who’ve all had their chance at some point.
Race 3. 7.49PM Greyhounds as Pets Grade 6 1 Win Restricted – 530 metres
#6 Frankie Boy – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big effort last start stepping up almost two hundred metres in distance and running down Born and Star who’s drawn in box eight in this race.
The 30.58 time was more than respectable for this grade, he’ll likely have to come from behind again with plenty of speed in box one, but fourth race start fitness and confidence should be on his side.
Race 4. 8.07PM TAB Make a Date Grade 5 – 530 metres
#1 Impress Patch – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has struggled to open his Angle Park account after coming across as a highly touted prospect from New South Wales, in saying that he hasn’t been far away either and this is the best chance he’ll get.
Box one bandit, never out of the money from the red and with a vacant outside should be able to muster through find the front and grab that elusive first win.
Race 5. 8.28PM Fresh Food Pet Co Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#4 Sutton Sandy – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Finally a bit of value to play with, Rugged and Ready had every chance last week and Defy isn’t getting any younger, this dog has been in the placings and is ready to win.
One start track and trip he was out well running second in 34.65, he can accelerate forward again and put plenty of pressure on the more favoured runners.
Race 6. 8.52PM BGC Industrial Cleaning Supplies Grade 6 – 530 metres
#3 Victa Saige – $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was expecting this bitch to come up even shorter than this, recently stepped up to the middle-distance and flew the lids for a pair of wins.
It’s often a great way to get them jumping over the five hundred metres where her form wasn’t bad with three runner-up performances here, expect her to win this with some in hand.
Race 7. 9.13PM Follow Thedogssa on Twitter Grade 6 – 530 metres
#7 Luxury Rocks – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The former Victorian has not struggled to find her feet here in Adelaide, a couple of wins and a couple of minors from her first four starts.
Has experience from plenty of provincial tracks as well as Sandown Park, doesn’t mind a wide draw and could find the bunny and not look back here.
Race 8. 9.37PM Giddy-Up Grade 6 – 530 metres
#3 Basman – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ran a couple of solid races over the five hundred here recently without setting the world on fire but has since gone back for a confidence booster over the shorts and looks like he’ll lead for fun here.
Is a winner over the five hundred at Gawler in the past and can run the trip, this looks like the race he can do it in town.
Race 9. 9.58PM XP3020 SA Owned Grade 5 – 530 metres
#7 Weblec Whirl – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has shown plenty in her two Angle Park starts, second on debut when going 30.47, her challenge here is dealing with box seven.
Wide draws haven’t been her strength in the past racing in Victoria, but class can take you a long way in a race like this and with a small field you back her talent to get her into a winning position here.
Race 10. 10.20PM Accell Therapy SA Owned Grade 5 – 530 metres
#5 Hot Spartan – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
After a cracking start at the new Angle Park he’s just cooled off his last couple of starts getting well back early from boxes seven and eight and not figuring in the finish.
Form beforehand was excellent, twice a winner here with a slick best of 30.47, finds a small field and if he gets his way across to the rail won’t be caught.
Race 11. 10.38PM @thedogssa – 530 metres
#4 Sudden Force – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The veteran is going as good as ever over eighty starts in and still racking up wins and placings week in week out and gets a great shot at a metro race here.
Can still show serious muster, the favourite in one had every chance last week, she can pressure him early and take the reigns.
