Angle Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 7.07PM Angle Park 8’s Juvenile – 530 metres
#4 Don’t Tell Lies – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Well done to those who snapped up the juicy quote when she won the Group Three SA Oaks last week, but she still comes up at a backable price as she looks to frank that brilliant run.
Showed plenty of speed from box four when running time last week and pulled out plenty when challenged in the run to the line, confidence is peaking.
Race 2. 7.25PM Sky Racing Mixed 4/5 – 730 metres
#6 Lashes Monelli – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This should be a fascinating affair the talents of Fantastic Radley and Bedrock Fred will be on full display but as those two go at it hammer and tong out in front Lashes Monelli will be biding her time.
She was a tragedy beaten behind Bedrock Fred last time out and has been freshened up since then, expect her to be doing her best work when it counts.
7.49PM 2021 SA V All Stars Match Races – 530 metres
Match 1 – Danyo’s Charlie vs Weblec Blazer
The Victorian Weblec Blazer is peaking at the right time to take out this match up, coming off a career best 29.44 at Sandown Park he’ll be too sprightly for the veteran.
Match 2 – Major Major vs Stout Monelli
Hard to go past honorary local Stout Monelli here, three from three track and trip and current holder of the track record.
Match 3 – Jack’s Well vs Weblec Jet
Here’s the first real chance for an underdog to do SA proud, Weblec Jet will lead this match up, but Jack’s Well is a beast over the 530 and with his wealth of experience can cause a boil over.
Match 4 – Aston Rupee vs Rushes
Aston Rupee is the fastest dog in Australia at the moment, proven at this format not even the brilliant Rushes will hold a flame to him.
Series Winner – Stout Monelli – $16
Stout Monelli is paying a whopping $16 to run the fastest time of all four match races, not only does he have the ability to win his matchup, but if he gets on the lure will post a time difficult for even Aston Rupee to match.
Race 4. 8.37PM Fresh Pet Food and Co Maiden – 530 metres
#5 Aston Carlos – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Clear on top selection here with the best exposed form, the well bred son of Aussie Infrared was stiff to get nudged out in 31.04 here on debut coming from box eight.
Second up and closer to the rail he should be able to handle this field of relative unknowns.
Race 5. 8.58PM Adelaide Cup Dine and Dash Promotion Grade 6 – 530 metres
#5 Adele’s Entity – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Continued her rich vein of form last week making in four on the bounce and running time as well getting down to 30.48, not too far off the track record.
Her winning run has been from inside boxes, if she shows the same pace from the five she’ll have no trouble leading and winning, but it is a test.
Race 6. 9.22PM Greyhounds as Pets Grade 6 – 530 metres
#4 Victa Reid – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Represents the value of the race here, Came and Went the favourite is an immense talent but showed she can be vulnerable in the run home last week.
Victa Reid is the type of dog who will sit mid-field and unwind with a finishing burst capable of swooping her up in the run to the line.
Race 7. 9.43PM BGC Industrial Cleaning Supplies Grade 5 – 530 metres
#8 My Name’s Craig – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks an each-way special here, is only third up in SA but has run third and second in his two appearances here at Angle Park thus far.
Went very close last week and improved on the clock, with good early speed and a winning record from box eight he could be one of the bets of the night.
Race 8. 10.05PM @thedogssa Grade 5 – 530 metres
#5 Immunity – $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Superstar Victorian out of the Jason Thompson kennel was stiff to miss out on a start in the match races sitting as first reserve for the All Stars.
Has done some freakish things in Victoria and if he lands on the bunny will punish this lot if he gets an easy lead.
Race 9. 10.27PM Kurt Donsberg Photography Mixed 4/5 – 530 metres
#1 Mepunga Warrior – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another Victorian who’s going to prove very hard to roll, Mepunga warrior is adept over the five and six hundred metres and box one over the 530 looks just about perfect.
Recently ran 29.97 as a runner-up at The Meadows, if he brings anything like that form he’ll win this.
Race 10. 10.42PM Giddy-Up Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#2 Run Like Jess – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A Victorian all up could be the go here with middle-distance and staying star Run Like Jess making his Angle Park debut.
He’s a dog who’s mixed it with the best Group one stayers and also run 29.45 as a sprinter at Sandown, times and margins here.
Race 11. 10.57PM XP3020 0-6 Wins – 595 metres
#2 Victa Saige – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
I’m all about the step up in distance for this bitch, she’s a tremendous sprinter on her day but confidence was low getting in early trouble.
This should be just the tonic a nice inside draw and some room to make her move mid-race once he rounds that first corner.
Race 12. 11.12PM Accell Therapy 0-6 Wins – 595 metres
#8 Way Too Much – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Races over the five hundred metres like he wants this step up in distance, is often beaten short margins wanting more ground.
Box eight is a challenge but there’s not much in this race, he’ll get his chance at some point.
