Brisbane Cup Runner-By-Runner Guide

The current favourite, and we’re not leaving him out. He didn’t get all favours last time out, but getting the inside draw could be enough to get it done.

The $3.10 odds are on the shorter side, and there could be an upset here, but he goes into trifecta and first four picks.

2. Back Tomorrow @ $9.50

Having speed either side of her won’t help, and she could get squeezed early in the race. She needs too much to go her way, so we’re not including her in picks.

3. Cumbria Jack (Best Bet) @ $3.20

A lovely type coming off four consecutive wins, and he owns eight wins and two placings from 10 starts at the track and distance.

It’s tough to overlook that record, and if he’s anywhere near the lead going into the first corner, he should put them away.

The $3.20 odds could firm into $2.50 on race night.

Paying better odds than expected, so he is our best each-way. The two-year-old is unbeaten in three attempts at the track and distance, so he loves it here.

It’s not an easy race to win, but he has Group 1 quality, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he finished in the first three home.

Her form this preparation is good enough to warrant attention at odds. She will need luck, but she could settle midfield and make steady ground.
