The Meadows

Race 2. (18:42) Global Meats (525m)
#1 – Perfect Blend @ $2.80
Perfect Blend comes off a second placing, and although she has no recent winning form, she’s good enough to take this field.
The two-year-old daughter of Hasten Slowly owns two wins and five placings from 11 starts overall, and getting the inside trap is ideal.
We expect her to be right in the mix.
Race 5. (19:52) KCR Pet Transport (525m)
#3 – Fabs Vegetable @ $6.50
Fabs Vegetable comes off a win, which was his 13th career win.
The two-year-old son of Bernardo will need luck from trap three, but he’s a three-time winner at the track and distance.
Punters get much better odds than usual.
Race 8. (20:49) Sportsbet Topgun Stayers (730m)
#5 – Like Wildfire @ $2.90
Like Wildfire is a prolific winner of 10 from 12 starts, so there’s no reason to jump off his back.
The two-year-old son of Goodesy has rattled off three consecutive wins, and he will push forward and be tough to run down.
Getting $2.90 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Race 9. (21:08) Fernando Mick at Stud (525m)
#1 – Shima Stripe @ $3
Shima Stripe doesn’t know how to run a bad race after posting four consecutive placings.
The two-year-old is a six-time winner from 16 starts, so he’s a classy runner getting the inside trap.
That could be enough to see his winning form return.

Race 2. (18:39) Ladbroke It (520m)
#5 – Zadie Bale
Zadie Bale is always tough to beat after posting six wins and 14 placings from 30 starts.
The two-year-old comes off consecutive wins, and although she’s yet to run at the track and distance, it shouldn’t worry her.
Look for a betting push on race night.
Race 4. (19:17) Ladbrokes Mates Mode Final (520m)
#3 – Zipping Megatron
Zipping Megatron owns four wins from five starts, so it’s tough to overlook his form.
The one-year-old son of Superior Panama run all those races at the track and distance, and his best time of 29.42 is slick.
It’s not an easy field, but he’s the best of them.
Race 5. (19:36) NSW Gbota Chairman’s Cup (520m)
#1 – Zipping Caleb @ $3.30
Zipping Caleb didn’t fire last time out, but his form earlier was excellent.
The two-year-old son of Flying Ricciardo owns six wins and five placings from 16 starts, including three at the track and distance.
Getting the inside trap is ideal, and his best time is quick enough.
Race 7. (20:19) Congratulations Vivian Jones (520m)
#8 – Nangar Jim
Nangar Jim is a nine-time winner from 16 starts, which is good enough form for this grade.
The two-year-old son of Aston Dee Bee has yet to run at the track and distance, but that won’t make much of a difference.
Getting the wide trap could be enough to see him win.
