Horsham Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 7.08PM Warrack Motel Zero to Two Restricted Win – 410 metres
#3 Crackerjack Pa – Bet @ Sportsbet
Can be very hit and miss at box rise but if he happens to get it right for a second straight race should be off with the prize in this restricted win race.
His maiden victory came in good fashion a few starts ago at Bendigo where he showed great muster to get around them from box six and hit the line strong.
Has been up and down since then, but you expect that out of a young dog who finds a race well within his capabilities.
Race 2. 7.27PM Crymelon Kennels Grade 5 – 485 metres
#7 Crackerjack Cap – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the real deal, first four starts weren’t anything of note but then the son of Tali Sundance put four consecutive getting shorter and shorter in the market each start as he performances bettered.
Got squeezed early in a tougher race over the 520 metres at Sale last start, while he hasn’t been here to Horsham yet the 485 metre trip looks right up his alley and from box seven he should show the characteristic muster to burst around this field of older dogs for his best win yet.
Race 3. 7.49PM Wimmera Cup Consolation Special Event – 410 metres
#3 Tinted – Bet @ Sportsbet
Numerical form isn’t on this chasers side, but a closer look sees he’s not far behind some really quick short course dogs in hard races and getting back to a track and trip he’s excelled at could be just the tonic.
Owns a best of 23.31 around here which he ran only a couple of months ago from box four, just needs to go a few strides without interference and he’ll be accelerating for the fence and muscle memory will take over.
Race 4. 8.08PM Sylvia Penny Memorial Heat One – 410 metres
#3 Dr. Ryker – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the dog over the odds here, has been concentrating on his short course racing rather than the city five hundreds lately and it’s paying off a couple of placings leading to a slick win at Traralgon last start.
As a sprinter was known for his turn of foot, if he sees a gap headed into that first turn is not afraid to step on the gas and push through, looks like a must have for each-way and exotic punters, though we do have a healthy respect for the favourite in red.
Race 5. 8.28PM Wimmera Cup Final – 410 metres
#8 Kraken Skye – Bet @ Sportsbet
The only knock of her coming into this series was her ability to win from a wide draw, she knocked that on the head when she won her heat as the quickest qualifier for the final looking right at home from box eight and gets a chance to replicate this week.
Is not a crasher and if she doesn’t step first has the sense and strength to stay wide and give herself a chance, has plenty of speed inside which should take her toward the fence.
Race 6. 8.48PM Taylor’s Place Horsham Cup Consolation – 485 metres
#1 Gypsy Yankee – Bet @ Sportsbet
Close to the best of the night here, he’s a dog for all occasions this chaser mixing and matching tracks and distances his form seems to carry wherever he goes.
Unlucky to miss a finals birth when he jumped just behind Typhoon Sammy last week and couldn’t quite bridge the gap.
Field sense is top class and he’ll make the most of his rails draw taking the shortest way home, expect him to be strong through the line with his five hundred form.
Race 7. 9.08PM Jan Wilson Memorial Final Mixed 4/5 – 485 metres
#2 My Mate Tip – Bet @ Sportsbet
He’ll come up your favourite for good reason, had been racing well without winning before lighting up the clock at Sale last start careering away by eight lengths.
Like a lot of dogs he extends when he finds the bunny and he should do so again here with no pace in box one, is also a winner at track and trip in very handy time.
Race 8. 9.28PM Taylor’s Palace Hotel Group Two Horsham Cup Final – 485 metres
#8 Typhoon Sammy – Bet @ Sportsbet
This freakish talented is perfectly drawn to add to his Group Two Traralgon Cup crown with the Horsham title.
This is his ideal distance, yes he can get the five hundred and compete against the Group One dogs but one turn tracks are where he’s leaving his mark through track records and titles.
Perfectly drawn in the eight so he can balance up early and come screaming around the outside of them, confidence levels are high.
Race 9. 9.48PM Sylvia Penny Memorial Heat Two – 410 metres
#6 Aston Flame – Bet @ Sportsbet
Prolific winner who since dropping back to the shorts has continued his winning ways putting three on the end over this distance range taking his career tally to eighteen wins from thirty-three starts.
Can win from anywhere with his box speed but expect his to slash across the face of the field here, find the arm and be too quick.
Race 10. 10.09PM Lock’s Construction Mixed 4/5 – 410 metres
#2 Sharky Shark – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is usually a better dog over further being a multiple city winner at The Meadows and Sandown Park but after a while off the scene this looks like an ideal return point.
Won’t be first out in the small field but if he can stay within a length or two will get last crack at them.
