Ipswich Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 5.02PM TAB Maiden – 431 metres
#5 Winlock Power – $.2.50 – Bet Now
The My Bro Fabio pup is new to the local Justin Bowe kennel and his first two starts in Queensland have been full of merit, both second behind Jaydo’s Jet who ran 24.99 last start.
Isla Bale in the four showed the ability to run on but was slow at her first start last week, if Winlock Power can get out first, he should be winning.
Race 2. 5.19PM Sky Racing Novice – 431 metres
#1 Zabdon Pedrro – $5 – Bet Now
Locally trained by Barry Kitchener the dog is yet to miss a placing in his first three starts, he steps into a tougher Novice here but comes up with the right draw to bring up win number two.
When he drew box one at start two, he ran 25.20 and should get his chance again, Buzzer Beater and Jaydo’s Jet are likely to annoy each other early out of the seven and eight, great value at $5.
Race 3. 5.35PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM Maiden – 520 metres
#4 Bec’s Lass – $5 – Bet Now
Was top notch running second on debut running 30.54 from a wide draw, a time that will beat this field.
Next two runs have been disappointing from inside draws, but back towards the middle of the track is she can give herself some room early to work into the race her form stacks up very nicely here in an open affair.
Race 4. 5.51PM Dover & Sons Novice – 520 metres
#1 Hara’s Bacon – $4 – Bet Now
Was quite taken with his run behind the more than Handy Hoof it Hank from box one last start, pushed the likely type right to the line.
There are no Hoof It Hank’s in this field and if Hara’s Bacon can use the draw again where he has placed twice, he puts himself right in this race, seems to be progressing every week and looks ready to win his Novice.
Race 5. 6.10PM Adventure Tourism Australia Fifth grade – 520 metres
#3 Hoof It Hank – Bet Now
Has won his last two here over track and trip and at start number six seems to be the most progressive prospect here in a field of veterans.
Dug in to run down Hara’s Bacon last week and the form line should stand up well for both dogs out of that race, likely to run a strong favourite but include in multiples.
Race 6. 6.26PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUND.COM Mix 4/5 – 431 metres
#7 Stitched Up Flo – Bet Now
Loves an outside draw from the 431-metre start and Darren Johnstone has his team absoloutely humming at the moment.
His bitch Stitched Up Flo has found a found over the distance and is usually spot on a box rise, if so she’s a big chance of crossing and winning this after a great 25.26 run behind Spring Rock which is great form for this grade.
Race 7. 6.52PM Greg Stergon Vet Surgeon Grade 5 – 630 metres
#8 Sir Pantsalot – Bet Now
Has been a revelation stepping up to the middle distance and staying trips late in his career, a 35.09 win at Albion Park last start a career best, if he can bring that to Ipswich he should be winning this race.
One Danger is the outside box, but with Miss Imperious in six and Molly Anne in five both with early speed they should give Sir Pantasalot a good trail into the race from the eight and he won’t have any problems running the trip.
Race 8. 7.14PM TAB Mix 4/5 – 520 metres
#4 Final Plea – Bet Now
Has been low flying of late for the Bowe kennel, went .09 off the 395 metre Albion Park track record a couple of starts back and Justin Bowe said the dog was bursting to win a 520-metre race.
Gets to his home track with a slow beginner outside him in Zipping Cosmo, should be forward at the first turn and take over with mid-race speed, Madam Waltz off the inside is the danger if she gets the fly.
Personal Best of 30.43 over the track and distance is a class above this field.
Race 9. 7.37PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUND.COM Grade 5 – 431 metres
#6 In And Out – Bet Now
Frist time loser in his short career at start three last week but gets a big chance to atone here from box six.
Zabdon Rodrigo Looks the other good chance in box five but desperately wants the fence and should give In And Out his cue to go forward and take up the running at the start.
Ringbark Ruby will be strong late for Serena Lawrance but buried in box four might not get a crack at them.
Race 10. 8.04PM Owner of the Year 2008 Paul Felgate Grade 5 – 431 metres
#5 Spring Halo – Bet Now
Doesn’t run a bad race here, even with bad luck in running will always chase home into the placings and give good bang for your buck.
Hasn’t won any wider than box four and comes up with the five here, could be her chance to break through with plenty of speed inside her One and Off and Instafamous she should get the fly around the outside with the fastest first section in the race.
