Ipswich Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. TAB Maiden Heat – 520 metres
#6 Good Charlotte – Bet Now
Model of consistency in her career so far four placings from four starts and looks to have a good race sense for a young bitch.
The draw is good but will have to avoid Engage from the seven who will crash for the fence early, if she does so has the speed, strength and ability to break through for the Tzouvelis kennel.
Race 2. 5.17PM Sky Racing Maiden heat – 520 metres
#2 More – Bet Now
Was very good last week running on into third from a wide draw and meets a lot of the same opposition from an inside gate this week.
Can really get motoring in the second sectional and runs out a strong 520 metres, if he can find the rail early expect him to be very hard to beat.
Race 3. 5.33PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUND.COM Maiden – 431 metres
#1 Big Hero Texado – Bet Now
Has the best exposed form here placings two of his first three at track and trip for the Dargusch kennel.
Has shown good early toe from tough middle boxes, coming up with the one this week will give him every chance to hold the rail lead this field and take some running down.
Make sure to respect the market here if there’s a strong push for a debutant get on.
Race 4. 5.48PM Dover & Sons – 431 metres
#4 Riley’s Reprieve – Bet Now
All the breaks went against him last start, he began well from box eight but from the 431 start was posted wide and shunted out of it at the first corner.
Coming off an Albion Park win two starts ago has the early dash to lead these, Isla Bale is a danger but is not well drawn near the rail Riley’s Reprieve could get the fly.
Race 5. 6.08PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUND.COM – 520 metres
#5 Thursday Shiraz – Bet Now
Exciting young pup out of Jeanette Cauchi’s Moreira/Mrs. Thursday litter, was luckless last week but winning at Albion Park on debut has her poised to win again.
Should follow Sassy Gossip across who is drawn inside her and either lead or sit outside the leader early.
Came over the top to win his Maiden at Albion Park and this race maps very similar, look for win number two.
Race 6. 6.25PM McNamara Law 5th Grade Heat – 520 metres
#4 Ricolina Girl – Bet Now
Intriguing contest Mrs. Sing is well performed at Albion Park and Talgai Warrior has been knocking on the door, but you can’t deny Brent Kline’s Ricolina Girl who came from last at the post to win in 30.70 mid-week.
This is a stronger race and Mrs. Sing looks the natural leader but she has been vulnerable at Ipswich especially late where Ricolina Girl will be doing her best work, if she can balance up mid-field watch out.
Race 7. 6.46PM White Rose Boarding Kennels – 630 metres
#8 Mahogany Row – Bet Now
Was a tragedy beaten last week buffeted early and flew home into the placings.
Trainer Allan Oshyer is setting him for the feature winter staying races, he has a huge opinion of him and apart from Miss Imperious who he was closing in on late last week he’s a cut above these, happy to take him on even from the wide draw.
Race 8. 7.08PM TAB Fifth Grade Heat – 520 metres
#6 Flying Jet – Bet Now
Started his career by placing in the Group Three Vince Curry series at the track and trip, had a lull in form going to Albion Park but is loving being back on his home circuit.
Final Plea in the four is a clear threat in the race, but Flying Jet should have the speed to clear him early and is an established 520 metre runner for local trainer Peter O’Reilly.
Should be too strong late for the likes of Jaydo’s Jet who’s been flying over the short course.
Race 9. 7.28PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM Mix 4/5 – 431 metres
#6 Cult Hero – Bet Now
The most well performed dog in the field isn’t a 431-metre specialist but has won here before on multiple occasions and is locally trained by Justin Bowe.
A recent Capalaba Cup finalist has a big motor and the race sense not to try to crash the fence from box six.
Race 10. 7.52PM Male Trainer of the Year 2008 John Edwards Grade 5 – 431 metres
#2 Spring Chatter – Bet Now
The daughter of Thirty Talks and Spring Dreaming is first up here for six months, but Tricia Fuller always turns her small team out in fantastic order and something near her best should win this.
Has more experience over the longer trips but does has experience over the sprint, winning her maiden here from box seven in 25.35 as a pup, coming back stronger she should get every chance early from the draw and strong late.
