Ipswich Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.13Pm Sky Racing Novice – 520 metres
#2 Sentenced – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Son of dual Group One winner Jury has shown plenty of ability at an early age, got checked and well out of his ground from box seven last start and rattled past runners to finish second here at Ipswich.
Draws close to the fence and if he can lead or stay with Regal Rocky outside him early, he looks like he has the strength at the back end of his races.
Race 2. 6.34PM Dover & Sons Masters – 520 metres
#4 Bad Benny – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Deserves another chance after missing the start last week and found himself with a wall of dogs in front, has run 30.21 at the trip which would go close to winning the Ipswich Cup, can begin well and drawn centre of the line shouldn’t bother him.
Emmaville Star in box eight is strong but doesn’t have the explosive burst of Bad Benny, trust him to get back to winning ways.
Race 3. 6.55PM RQ NAIDOC Celebration Week grade 5 – 630 metres
#7 Blue Bandana – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the rare runners with experience at the track and trip was a brilliant 37.29 winner at his only star here a time fit for Free for All company.
The outside draw is a slight question you would prefer him closer to the fence but generally gets out well and will have no problem running the trip out at his home track.
Race 4. 7.13PM Eddie Little Appreciation Open – 732 metres
#3 Waikarie Bell – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks like a race made for this stayer who is often doing her best work going into the catching pen, the 732 metres at Ipswich is arguably Australia’s toughest staying test and it should suit her down to the ground.
Loves to rail and should find her way there early from box three, Aristocratic Gal is the likely leader, but she has her measure, recently went a brilliant 41.59 at Albion Park.
Race 5. 7.34PM Past Members Trophy Final Open – 630 metres
#3 Big Boy Bruce – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been a while between wins for this free for all marvel who hasn’t drawn any closer than box five his las six starts.
Can mix his distances no worries and the 630 looks the perfect bridge between the six hundred and seven hundred metres.
Has the pace to beat the inside two boxes out and once he gets to the top will take something pretty special to chase him down, kennel has a good history at winning this race.
Race 6. 7.55PM TAB Ipswich Gold Cup G2 Consolation – 520 metres
#3 Sumatran Star – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
It took every bit of brilliance from Farmor Beach to deny him a spot in the Ipswich Cup Final only being tracked down by Queensland’s boom pup in the last twenty metres.
Is taking time off his best each run here at Ipswich and if he can get down to 30.50 here with his early dash he looks the clear leader and there is no Farmor beach in this race to chase him down.
Race 7. 8.16PM TAB Ipswich Sprint Final Open – 431 metres
#5 Phantom Clyde – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Boasts a remarkable thirteen from sixteen record and first look at Ipswich last week cracked twenty-five seconds no worries whatsoever, showed plenty of race sense staying out of trouble from a wide draw.
Trainer Malcolm Ross said he’s got the wood on his litter mate Phantom Bonnie in box six he just needs to avoid trouble early before he goes into overdrive down the back.
Race 8. 8.40PM TAB Ipswich Gold Cup G2 Open – 520 metres
#6 Farmor Watch Me – $17 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big value here at this price, this dog continues to get better the last two months finds ways to win where everything looks lost and has recently added early speed to his arsenal.
Should get a great cart across from Hara’s Panda in box five early and with his six hundred metre experience if he’s fighting it out with something late, you’d back him in most times.
He went 30.37 in the heat and should improve on that, have something on each way.
Race 9. 8.59PM WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM.AU Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#6 Mrs. Sing – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Uncharacteristically missed the kick in the Ipswich Cup Heats from this same box, don’t count on her missing it twice she’s generally brilliantly away and if she can spear over here will dart away down the back.
Copy Workshop gives her something to follow early and her 30.50 that she’s run here in the past should stand her in good stead.
Race 10. 9.19PM Greyhound_Data.com Grade 5 – 515 metres
#4 Misty Haze – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been over the middle distance of late pinging the lids and not quite landing the prize, a drop back to the five hundred here at Ipswich looks ideal, if she can hold a spot in the first few she should go straight over the top of them.
Has had eight starts track and distance knows her way around the place and represents great value in the last.
