Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.57PM Sandowngreyhounds.com.au Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#1 Zambora Charlie – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the real deal after a 29.53 Sandown park debut last week, before that he’d run one ripper and another shocker but proved the latter was just bad luck and he loves an inside alley.
Has been right in the market all three starts and will be again here, should drive the rail and be too speedy.
Race 2. 7.22PM Follow us at Sandown Dogs Grade 5 – 515 metres
#6 Kanji Giant – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Recent numerical form hasn’t been great but have to take into account the company he’s been in taking on Lala Kiwi and Music Event, this is a big drop.
Lala Ivory has speed in the one but prefers the outside, this moderate beginner should be able to do enough to put himself in the first few here and get a good sight of the bunny.
Race 3. 7.43PM #welovethedogs Grade 5 – 515 metres
#7 Painkiller – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the forgotten dog in this race, plenty of money around for the four and the six dog with a vacant in box five but Painkiller could benefit following the pace into the race.
Has some notable performances at The Meadows of late a 30.11 winner and 30.07 runner-up jumping from box eight.
Race 4. 8.07PM TAB Venue Mode Final 3-6 Wins – 595 metres
#5 Osprey Phantom – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was a big chance when the four and three dogs weren’t scratchings, those boxes will be filled with reserves but they don’t have the same pace as the dogs who are out.
Showed great sustained speed to dash across from box eight last week find the front and career away for a first out first home win.
Race 5. 8.25PM RSN927 Racing and Sport Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Indy Matilda – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A familiar draw can do a lot of good, that was the case for this bitch last week at The Meadows when she finally drew inside and rattled away with a 29.89 win.
Has a best of 29.28 from box one here as well and although she’s not drawn the pole is well placed in three and can be first to the fence.
Race 6. 8.49PM RSN Central 10:30AM Weekdays Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#3 Shima Glow – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This bitch looks really well placed in this contest, she’s been building up nicely through the distances and struck pay dirt with a win over the trip last week.
There are a lot of one paced dogs in this race, this bitch can spring out in front and there isn’t anything that looks like it’ll be able to leap out of the ground and catch her.
Race 7. 9.10PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 595 metres
#2 Big Gordy – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Can be a hard dog to find on his night but at his best is more than capable here, but he’s got to make the most of an inside draw and give his big engine a chance to kick in.
If he can get himself on the speed he goes through the gears and makes it hard for those behind to make ground, is a winner here previously.
Race 8. 9.34PM Shima Shine at Stud Free for All – 515 metres
#3 Bobby the Brute – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Aston Rupee is the obvious pick here in box one but it’s not necessarily his best draw, with on and off box speed he could get crowded away and Bobby the Brute is one of those dogs who’ll benefit.
A born railer he’s not lightning away but will head straight for the fence, if he finds it with him distance prowess he represents great value at the price.
Race 9. 9.55PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 515 metres
#4 Belle Ali – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Given room this bitch is the fastest in the field and with a vacant outside just might get what she’s looking for here.
Has been going up some big prices in harder races and finds a contest here suitable for her talents and confidence levels.
Race 10. 10.17PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Scatterbox – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Still going strong over eighty starts in to his career, his number one calling card early speed which he’ll be bringing in spades from the good draw.
Has shown the ability to win from wherever he’s drawn in this company and is a must have for each-way players.
Race 11. 10.40PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Starlight Amy – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had been going well around the one turn tracks and upon returning here last week showed wicked pace to lead but just burned the candle too hard.
Is drawn to go to the front here again and second up over the trip will get her chance to see it out.
Race 12. 10.55PM XP3020 Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres
#1 Suntory Rose – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This should be a one act affair, this bitch is ideally suited to the staying trip, she’ll show speed from one and can cruise along covering the trip no dramas.
If she can hold Venus Light to the first turn looks like the good thing of the night.
