Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.12PM Download the Watchdog App Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#1 Steamer Redeemer – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Don’t often tip a dog on top who’s won one from sixteen starts but he finally finds a race with no up and coming stars and if he runs up to his recent form should be winning this.
Has been chased down by Gypsy Vista and Mepunga Stellar in the last two weeks while still running good time for this class, should lead and win.
Race 2. 6.37PM Tile Effect Grade 6 – 515 metres
#7 Mepunga Stellar – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Couldn’t have been more impressive taking care of business last week, left well from box five and went with Steamer Redeemer early before turning the jets on in the middle and late stages.
Maps to get a good run across from the seven again this week in slightly tougher company but should only improve off last week’s win.
Race 3. 6.54PM Tile Form Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Aston Rupee – $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This is a dog who should be going around in Group One company rather than fifth grade, has broken the clock here in the past going 29.07 and was a bit winner here last week.
Doesn’t have any weaknesses, leaves well, consolidates a spot in the run and years home, should be a time and margins job here.
Race 4. 7.16PM Toongabbie Lodge Grade 5 – 515 metres
#5 Carry on Maxwell – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Goes around at a very juicy each way quote here off the back of some really solid form, a recent winner here and at The Meadows from wide boxes a strong runner-up last time out.
Can get back in his runs and will need a touch of luck from the draw but if he finds free galloping room will come into this nicely.
Race 5. 7.40PM greyhounds.com.au Final Grade 5 – 595 metres
#6 Mepunga Ruby – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the most promising young stayers in Victoria, drops back slightly in distance this run but still has all the talent in the world to get this done over the six hundred.
Is generally well away and is not far removed from consistent six hundred racing, has the motor to come from off the speed and run these down.
Race 6. 8.04PM Blackbook on the Watchdog App Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres
#8 Drako Bale – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has shown he’s a dog for all occasions over the past few months winning over the five and six hundred with relative ease and is drawn here to go forward and set a cracking tempo.
Finished full of running when in the placings his last run over six hundred and if he can show some early speed could take control of this race.
Race 7. 8.25PM RSN Central 10:30AM Weekdays Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#2 Aratuza Bale – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The type of dog who won’t run a bad race, was brave when beaten by Group One talent Do It last start and draws an ideal box here to go one better.
His record off the inside is something else, seven wins combined from boxes one and two always grows a few lengths when drawn the fence.
Race 8. 8.50PM TAB Long May We Play Mixed ¾ – 515 metres
#1 King of Calypso – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is finally fulfilling his potential winning his last two starts, prior to that had been running excellent races but just not hitting the frame first confidence should be sky high here.
Is usually moderately served but is a chance of holding the rail here and if he does is far too powerful in the run.
Race 9. 9.11PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Mepunga Freda – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Stunning return to form for this bitch last week, came up against a huge talent in Curator and made light work of him pinging the lids and sailing away for a five length 29.43 victory.
Consistency hasn’t been her strength, but drawn box two if she shows similar speed looks the tearaway leader again.
Race 10. 9.36PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#6 Tinker Craig – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looked a good thing last start but just doesn’t seem to handle the inside boxes as well as he does the outside.
Comes up in the same grade of race as last week and looks much more comfortable from the six where he’s a five-time winner.
Race 11. 10.01PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Nifty Nangar – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a young dog going places, has been racing with class around the one turn tracks before coming to Sandown last week and running a huge race from back in the field to snatch third.
Gets an inside box this week where he’s seen much more success, should be closer in the run and looks ready to strike.
Race 12. 10.19PM TAB Melbourne Cup November 26 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#7 Aston Resort – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Numerical form is only fair of late but his one run here at track and trip was more than encouraging.
Posted in box seven he never got it easy but continued to close the gap to the line and finds a winnable race here.
