Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.03PM Follow Us @sandowndogs Mixed 6/7 – 595 metres
#5 Mepunga Ruby – $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Happy to stick with the favourite at the short quote, is a winner of two of six running 29.56 here and 25.65 at Geelong, results have been slightly inconsistent with a number of tough draws.
She looks to have class on these and the small field suits her perfectly, she’s not lightning at the jump but will rattle home.
Race 2. 6.24PM RSN Central 10.30AM Weekday’s Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#3 Dr. Neeki – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the value here, the favourites in box seven and eight both have a bit of experience on her, but she should get a cosy run from box three and has shown her best is good enough.
Second career start went straight to the lead and won here in 29.86, may have to improve slightly on that, but is a strong each-way player.
Race 3. 6.41PM The Pen Tuesdays 7PM Sky 2 Mixed 4/5 – 515 metres
#7 Gypsy Yankee – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Strong win around the one turn at Ballarat last start holding off a good one in Ulricken Bale, was a much-needed return to the winner’s list after finishing behind Yozo Bale and Shima Shine.
Has won from all boxes in his career and should get a nice run from the seven with a vacant inside him and the five dog will be heading for the fence as well.
Race 4. 6.58PM TAB.COM.AU Grade 5 – 715 metres
#2 Sir Truculent – $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Good to see the star South Australian stayer sticking around in Victoria after finishing fifth in the Group One Sandown Cup Final only four lengths off the winner Zipping Rambo.
Has had success here in the past and now third up in Victoria in a much easier race than his last two he should be stalking the speed and winning this.
Race 5. 7.19PM Download the Watchdog App grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Jay Bird – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the more consistent commodities you’ll find going around in fifth grade company in Victoria, is not brilliant in any one aspect but does everything well hence the fact she rarely runs out of the placings.
Has been crowded up in middle draws of late, the red dog should lead early but if she can get his back she’ll be a bit chance at challenging late.
Race 6. 7.40PM Blackbook on Watchdog App Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Sierra Foxtrot – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Good to see this young talent return to Sandown Park, he hasn’t won here yet but the way he races and his inside draw should suit down to the ground.
Has been running in the placings charging home around the one turn tracks, looks like he’s crying out for the circle and should secure a good run.
Race 7. 8.04PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 515 metres
#8 Fenway Lights – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Very unlucky last week in good company, came out running from box four but came off second best in a bumping duel with the fellow leader and lost a few lengths.
Didn’t drop his bundle and picked up again late only missing out on third by a nose, should be on the speed again and suited out wide.
Race 8. 8.25PM McKenna Memorial July 8 Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#3 Aston Gwen – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Loved her win at The Meadows was back to her lid pinging best a clear leader around the turn and despite being a sitting duck out in front a talented field could not real her in.
Should go forward again here and third run back up over the middle-distance has the strength to run out a stronger six hundred.
Race 9. 8.49PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#8 Run Baba Run – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Despite her veteran status with one hundred and sixteen starts under her belt is still one of the most reliable box dogs in Victoria and will be screaming across from the eight here early.
Is vulnerable late if they get a clear run behind, but you know she’s going to leave it all out there for you.
Race 10. 9.10PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#4 How Not Too – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Showed just how talented she is last time out running a brilliant 29.73 at The Meadows, the key to her race is the start she can be very inconsistent but in the small field and middle of the line should see daylight here.
If she’s within a few lengths of the leaders rounding the home turn expect her to finish over the top of them.
Race 11. 9.34PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#5 Oakvale Star – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Just the two runs here in Victoria since crossing from South Australia but has shown plenty to suggest she’ll fit in just fine with a fourth and a runner-up around here.
Is a slow beginner and needs room and should get this here with a vacant and no speed to her outside.
Race 12. 9.56PM TAB Melbourne Cup November 26 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#4 Circumstance – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Much better than his recent form, hasn’t been able to take a trick with box draws in tougher races at The Meadows, should find this much more manageable.
Plenty of speed to his inside but not much outside, should allow him to balance up and run a strong race.
