Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 7.04PM Launching Pad Heat One – 515 metres

#2 Samona – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks the wild card of this field, has been going around against the older dogs in Queensland and despite being hit and miss at the start has always been in the money of late.

Loves to rail and even if he misses the kick will hunt up here and unwind with a slick middle section and run home, well worth a look at the double-digit price.

Race 2. 7.25PM Launching Pad Heat Two – 515 metres

#5 Wow She’s Fast – Bet @ Sportsbet

There’s not much more to say about the TAB Phoenix winner, she beat the best dogs in the country and she was only a baby.

Had a well deserved spell after that win and has been set for this race by connections, can dwell slightly at the start but does muster quickly and should burst through any hole from box five.

Race 3. 7.43PM Launching Pad Heat Three – 515 metres

#1 Kelsey Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

Clashes with an up and coming superstar in Big Opal Rocks who’s drawn out in the seven, but this daughter of Feral franky has her own claims a 29.45 winner around here last time out.

The favourite has a big motor but could get well back in the run, with similar box manners this bitch could steal it at the jump.

Race 4. 8.04PM Launching Pad Heat Four – 515 metres

#7 Amron Boy – Bet @ Sportsbet

He draws wide for the first time in his career, but that’s the only slight knock of this Group One prospect who’s gone five from five so far in a glittering start to his career.

Even though inside boxes have been good to him he’s showed pace and wouldn’t expect anything other from the seven, if he doesn’t get across his mid-race speed should see him to the front.

Race 5. 8.35PM Launching Pad Heat Five – 515 metres

#6 Dr. Gwen – Bet @ Sportsbet

Big learning experience first time here at Sandown last week, exploded out to an early lead but definitely needed the run on the track fading late for a still impressive third.

There’s box speed and then there’s what this bitch possesses look for her to find a few lengths second up and prove too hard for these to catch.

Race 6. 8.43PM Launching Pad Heat Six – 515 metres

#2 Slingshot Jonesy – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks the real deal after his Sydney campaign where he ended up finishing second in the Group One National Derby final.

Has been freshened up by connections and set for this race since returning home and he’s hopefully gone to that next level, already is a 29.50 winner around here.

Race 7. 9.04PM Launching Pad Heat Seven – 515 metres

#4 Black Sail – Bet @ Sportsbet

Holds ripping form lines around the aforementioned Dr. Gwen, he was the dog who blew straight past her here last week when running the hands off the clock.

Since he’s gotten to the five hundred has looked the real deal and all his wins have come from outside boxes showing excellent field sense for a young dog.

Race 8. 9.29PM Launching Pad Heat Eight – 515 metres

#7 Black Spartacus – Bet @ Sportsbet

He might not look like the winner for most of the run but never write this young dog off, he’s come up with some cracking wins in his young career when he’s really had no right to get there.

Can find trouble but is simply a mad chaser and will keep finding over this distance, looks a prospect over further in the future.

Race 9. 9.48PM RSN Sandown Cup May 19 Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres

#2 Bell Burner – Bet @ Sportsbet

New dog on the block over the staying trip and looks the real deal a winner of four of his last five running away with his last two starts in similar races over this trip.

He’s a front running stayer and draws to suit in box two, should get out to a big lead and watch the clock as he improves with each run.

Race 10. 10.07PM Harrison Dawson May 19 Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres

#7 Knicks Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Group One Hume Cup champ finds a very winnable race here in fourth and fifth grade company, a big drop from what she’s been facing recently.

Always seems to find her way into the race no matter where she’s drawn and has the seven hundred metre pedigree to be strong through the line.

Race 11. 10.29PM Sapphire Crown May 19 Mixed 4/5 – 515 metres

#8 Kysaiah – Bet @ Sportsbet

Terrific young prospect who gets the perfect race to prove it to everyone he’s the real deal coming up against some chiselled veterans.

He does have form here but has done more damage around the one turn tracks where he’s been explosive from wide draws, watch the clock if he times the jump.

Race 12. 10.49PM Sandowngreyhounds.com.au Grade 5 – 515 metres

#1 Vayda Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has looked all out a winner a number of times this prep, closing section just hasn’t quite been up to the mark, but if she keeps posting times under 29.8 it’s a matter of time until she wins one of these races.

Should fly out to a lead from the red box here and looks a safe play at the each-way quote she’s presently at.
