Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.12PM Speed Star Trials Starting Next Week Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#7 Tiger Isla – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has roared out of the gates to start her career was third on debut from a squeeze box and has since romped home in her subsequent two runs at Sale around the one turn track.
Has shown natural box speed on both those occasions winning one race from the three and the other from the eight, can cross here with pace early and will find out about the trip.
Race 2. 6.34PM Blackbook on Watchdog App Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Kinson Bale – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Can atone for a poor showing around the one turn track last start should relish getting back to the circle where she ran a huge race in defeat going 30.01 behind the talented Papi Go Fast at the Meadows.
Gets box manners right more often than not and would be surprised if he missed it two starts running, nice each-way play.
Race 3. 6.52PM Book Now for RSN Sandown Cup Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Mahogany Jet – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks to get the charmed run here, Taken is box two is a classy dog but loves to run up the track and should give the runner plenty of room to punch up on the rail where he was a last start winner at the Meadows in 30.16.
May not lead but won’t leave the fence and will be bursting through late with plenty of talent over the middle-distance.
Race 4. 7.13PM WHO Group Sprint Final Grade 5 – 515 metres
#8 King of Calypso – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
In the best form of his career, three minors and a couple of wins from his last five starts most recently getting down to 29.28 here albeit from an inside box draw.
His outside statistics are far from bad, finished a close up third in 29.58 here recently and the way the other dogs are drawn here should get the fly from out wide.
Race 5. 7.37PM Harrison Dawson Heats next week Mixed 4/5 – 515 metres
#5 Highly Explosive – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is air borne of present, used to be an inside box specialist but is now finding ways to win from any draw including box five where he powered to the line in 29.24 last week.
Can be a risk early with speed but if he gets a gap will muster and take it, you don’t want him sitting on your tail close to home.
Race 6. 7.58PM RSN Sandown Cup May 27 Mixed 4/5
#6 Floral Lace – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Comes up a remarkable price given her last start performance was full of running late and if not for a traffic jam would’ve won in this same company.
Does get a long way back in the run but as long as she’s not too far past mid field should be right in the finish at a price.
Race 7. 8.22PM Sapphire Crown Heats Next Week Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#2 Tyler Durden – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Going great guns at the moment was shooting for four straight stepping up to the 660 metres last start and just ran out of steam late, the quick backup to the middle-distance says he’s feeling well.
Can do it at both ends, should be one of the first to jump and is lightning mid-race, happy to take the shorts.
Race 8. 8.43PM Speed Star June 2 Free for All – 515 metres
#1 Dr. Madison – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Happy to tip in again at the price ran a bold third in Free for All company at the Meadows beaten by Jarick Bale who has a much tougher box here, Lakeview Walter will also do it tough from box five.
Does his best work over the slightly shorter trip here at Sandown can get a flyer from the red.
Race 9. 9.07PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Green Blazer – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Much anticipated return after a couple of months on the sideline, left in brilliant form winning in 29.5 here from an inside draw and should be wound up to go again here.
Has beaten some serious types including Fernando Mick and Shima Classic, if he’s fit he should be winning.
Race 10. 9.28PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Max Tractor – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Isn’t as sprightly as he used to be lining up for start ninety-eight but has shown in recent runs he can still run the time to win fifth grade races here.
The draw is important, he should leave with them from inside and maintain sustained speed throughout, well worth a go at the quote.
Race 11. 9.53PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Mepunga Katie – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another huge talent who’s been off the scene since late last year but anywhere near her best and she should be taking care of this field.
Has had success over the sprint and middle-distance should appreciate having box one and Jeff Britton will have her at one hundred percent for this.
Race 12. 10.12PM sandowngreyhounds.com.au Grade 5 – 515 metres
#4 Zing On – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A pair of runner-up performances in good time at track and trip leading up to this and maps to get a lovely cart across to the rail with the speed in three.
If he can tack on the back on that runner should be stronger on the way home, top pick.
