Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.04PM Sapphire Crown Heat 1 – 515 metres
#2 Vamos Penny – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The New South Wales visitor looks a major danger here, she’s done some serious damage at Wentworth Park using her early speed to set the stage and should be suited to this Sandown circuit.
Love to fire out from a low box draw and take control, Crazy Cool in the three is hit and miss at the jump, she should get ever chance to control the race.
Race 2. 6.27PM Sapphire Crown Heat 2 – 515 metres
#3 Aston Gwen – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Massive rap on this versatile and smart chaser, she’s capable over the short course, traditional sprint or even the six hundred, with a tonne of experience on her side.
She can pressure the favourite in box one early here and if she manages to get to the front will be hard to move, great each-way bet.
Race 3. 6.49PM Sapphire Crown Heat 3 – 515 metres
#2 Junk Food Junkie – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
As consistent and professional a chaser as you’ll find, is always well away and knows this track and trip like the back of her paw which you can’t say for her rivals.
Will give them a good sight early and hats off to anything that has the class to chase her down.
Race 4. 7.10PM Sapphire Crown Heat 4 – 515 metres
#7 Qwara Bale – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was peerless in the recent Warrnambool Cup series rattling away with the final which had some super sprinters in the race, she was just too quick.
Form before that was good over the short course and the circle, can show great early dash and looks to be the leader here.
Race 5. 7.28PM Harrison Dawson Heat 1 – 515 metres
#8 Weblec Jet – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Comes up against the in-form Lakeview Walter in box seven here but the draw could play right into his hands if he can follow his across or even head him early he’s going to be in a mighty good position.
Blistering mid-race lead should see him get to the front and make something lift again to catch him from behind, recently won the Geelong Cup.
Race 6. 7.49PM Harrison Dawson Heat 2 – 515 metres
#4 Shima Shine – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The dog that on his day is known as the quickest in Australia has had a relatively quiet run by his standards but he excels here at track and trip and will take a power of beating.
He gets away with them and give him and inch he’ll muster to the front where he’s armed with a dominant run home.
Race 7. 8.13PM Harrison Dawson Heat 3 – 515 metres
#8 Catch the Thief – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another established superstar with twenty-one wins from forty-two career outings he doesn’t go long between drinks and has gone 29.21 here at track and trip.
Canya Cruise in the seven is the likely leader and should take him across before weakening late presenting him with the best opportunity.
Race 8. 8.34PM Harrison Dawson Heat 4 – 515 metres
#2 Sunset Spitfire – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This Western Australian megastar has lost one race from his fifteen starts, wherever he goes he simply finds a way to win except at The Meadows last month.
Looks ready to announce himself on a National stage and is ideally drawn to power forward early and not look back.
Race 9. 8.55PM RSN Sandown Cup Heats Next Week Special event – 715 metres
#8 Maggie Moo Moo – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Queenslander ran a huge race first up in Victoria last week, checked back to last mid-race she made massive amounts of ground to finish fourth full of running.
Is a wide runner and can jump well and push forward from the eight alley, if she can camp mid-field looks a real danger to run over the top of them.
Race 10. 9.16PM RSN Sandown Cup May 27 Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres
#6 Zack Monelli – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another Western Australian star here to show what he’s made of, has been to Victoria before and gone very close to winning in Group One company.
Is racing as well as ever and his go forward style should be in full effect here, will run them along and make his own luck.
Race 11. 9.35PM Book Now for the RSN Sandown Cup Final Grade 5 Final – 595 metres
#3 Zipping Annabel – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Only went down by three quarters of a length to Fractured in her heat running 34.03 in defeat, Fractured comes up a $2 favourite while Zipping Annabel sits at $10.
She’s racing in great form and has been close to a win for some time now, looks an ideal chance to break the drought.
Race 12. 9.57PM Speed Star June 2 Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#7 Tyler Durden – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has everything you could ask for in a middle-distance dog, can go with them early, find the front mid-race and extend away late.
Has been on a winning year with four of his last five and one runner-up, will find away across from box seven.
