Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 2.37PM Vale May Fry Maiden Final – 515 metres
#2 Orson Mick – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The son or Orson Allen has impressed in both race starts for the Sharp kennel, a first up third up the Healsville straight making up ground from well back followed by another placing on debut here last week.
He was quick out of box eight and should appreciate the two this time and run out the five hundred a little better.
Race 2. 2.57PM Book Your XMAS Party Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#4 Manfred – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The ex-Queenslander can surprise a few here, he’s third up in his new state and looking good with a win and a placing already under his belt at Warragul.
That was a stepping stone for the traditional sprint where he runs the distance out really well, he just has to navigate a middle-box early to be a danger.
Race 3. 3.24PM Houdini Boy @ Newhaven Stud Grade 5 – 715 metres
#1 Aston Alpha – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
There’s plenty of young stayers emerging in Victoria and this dog could be one of them, only thirteen starts under the belt but already looking at his first staying win.
Was awesome two-back winning over the six hundred, is drawn to lead here and looks like the type that will just keep on going, tough draw for Kenny the Brute in the eight.
Race 4. 3.44PM Toongabbie Lodge Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Gypsy Vista – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A big each-way threat here, always runs an honest race but the draw helps big time here last time she was behind only Mepunga Freda from the white rug running 29.71.
Won’t ping the lids but should be right up there on the speed applying the pressure throughout the run.
Race 5. 4.12PM Follow us @sandowndogs Grade 5 – 600 metres
#3 Mepunga Katie – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
She owes punters after being the bridesmaid her last three starts, but despite not getting the money she’s running cracking time and hitting the line at a rate of knots, the step to six hundred looks ideal.
Strikes a moderate field first up, no real pace influences outside her so she should be able to get on the arm and run her own race.
Race 6. 4.39PM Download the Watchdog App Mixed 4/5 – 515 metres
#1 Denise’s Vision – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Made a long awaited return to the winners circle a couple of starts ago and looked back to her old self.
Unlike some other chasers the obstacle here might be drawing the red, she’s never won from the inside but a bitch with her turn of foot and stamina is seemingly suited, gets her chance here.
Race 7. 4.54PM RSN Central 10:30AM Weekdays Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#5 Radek Bale – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been sliding under the radar with some sneaky good form, ran 34.5 as a runner-up here last week and has a handy win at Ballarat not all that long ago.
He’s well versed here at track and trip with a 34.19 run to his name and is a winner out of middle-boxes, the each-way quote looks very enticing.
Race 8. 5.14PM TAB Melbourne Cup November 26 Free for All – 515 metres
#4 Aston Rupee – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Well done if you can find him at the current price she’ll start much shorter than this come Thursday off the back of her dominant Speedstar win where she put two tenths on seven other Group One dogs.
Has a great clash with Koblenz here who may lead him early, but the draw looks spot on with the vacant inside he should stalk the leader and run time.
Race 9. 5.36PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#7 Kanji Giant – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has traditionally saved his best form for the Meadows, only a few starts ago the powerful type forced his way over from box eight streaking away in 30.10.
Happy to take him on knowing he’s got that kind of an engine, the start could be dicey, but he’s well worth the risk.
Race 10. 5.55PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#8 Shima Punga – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Very stiff not to win her last week, was all over the back of the leader in the run and just couldn’t find a clear passage around, still managing to run 29.77 for a second week running.
Hasn’t had much experience from the wide boxes but manners are generally good, third up over the five hundred is ready to win.
Race 11. 6.17PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Weblec Ranger – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been freshened up and this looks like the perfect return race for a dog who looks like he’s going places, already a multiple Meadows winner after seven starts.
The speed map gives him all the favours from the inside which he should relish not having drawn the pole before in the past.
Race 12. 6.35PM sandowngreyhounds.com.au Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Madam Rosmerta – $6.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
They don’t come much more reliable out of the lids than this bitch who’s been jumping and running for fifty-seven starts.
Has rounded back into some form a late with consecutive seconds at track and trip and needs a race like this to break through.
