Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 3.19PM Toongabbie Lodge Grade 5 Final – 515 metres
#2 Wow She’s Fast – $1.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Got the greyhound world talking when winning by twenty-seven and a half lengths in 29.09 on debut here, hence her incredibly short starting price.
She should lead and win again here but if you’re looking for value Gracie’s Joy in box one was a runner who got tangled up behind her last start and should benefit from the draw.
Race 2. 3.39PM Shootout November 11 Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#2 El Dorado – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
All four of his career starts have come here at track and trip, a pair of cracking wins and a couple of unplaced run he’s due to bounce back to form here.
Excited to see him drawn close to the rail for the first time in his career, should find the fence early and make his own luck.
Race 3. 4.07PM TAB Long May We Play Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#7 Romy Riccarton – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Box manners continue to be her crutch but it’s not stopping her looming to win, she gets a good cart across with speed in six here and will be hitting the line.
Picked up a number of runners when fourth last start at The Meadows, will be good enough if close enough.
Race 4. 4.27PM Book Your XMAS Party 2-3 Wins Restricted Final – 515 metres
#2 Weblec Mist – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Really like the way this race shapes up for this bitch who can be a rocket out of the lids and will be given plenty of room early with wide runner Steamer Redeemer drawn directly outside.
In her young career when she’s found the front in a race she’s won including a 29.9 effort here which she can improve on.
Race 5. 4.47PM 50 Day Countdown Next Week Grade 5 – 515 metres
#6 Lakeview Cruiser – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Showing signs of his former superstar self, had been struggling over the short course and despite not jumping well has been finding the line over he five hundred metres.
Gets space to move early here with a vacant box inside and only needs to land a length closer at the first turn to be too strong home for these.
Race 6. 5.07PM Download the Watchdog App Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#2 Carry on Liam – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Represents great value here after doing what he’s been threatening to for a while using his strength to lead all the way over the middle-distance.
Sprung the lids on that occasion and if he can repeat from a good draw will go a long way towards back-to-back wins.
Race 7. 5.26PM TAB Melbourne Cup November 26 Mixed 4/5 – 515 metres
#4 Xavien Bale – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
He’s a confidence chaser and a last start first out first win home will be crucial for him stepping into a slightly stronger field.
Boxes don’t bother him when he pings the lids something he’s more than capable of doing from a middle draw, whilst cutting off a few of his rivals on the way to the front.
Race 8. 5.49PM Houdini Boy at Newhaven Stud Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres
#7 Five Star – $1.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Snap up this price if you can find it, was back to his brilliant best last week taking care of fifth grade company with disdain running sizzling sectionals.
Likes a wide draw, leaves well and cuts down to the rail where he’ll only extend throughout the run, times and margins again here.
Race 9. 6.09PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#4 Sir Champ – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Deserves another chance after not enjoying box eight over the middle-distance last time, his best results have come at the five hundred which he gets back to here.
Before that forgive run he was excellent at The Meadows spearing out of a middle draw for a 30.22 win, something he can do again here.
Race 10. 6.30PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#6 Boston Garden – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Massive effort to come from midfield and score his third win in just half a dozen career starts last time out at The Meadows and that form will stack up well here at Sandown.
He was happy to camp behind the speed and run on from a wide draw on that occasion and should find himself in a similar stalking spot here.
Race 11. 6.55PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#8 Aston Matrice – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks primed for this race third up at track and trip after good straight track form, she ran 19.5 here from a wide draw a couple of starts ago and will get a cart into it here.
Is less than twenty starts in and the ceiling is high look for continued improvement on what she’s already achieved.
Race 12. 7.16PM [email protected] Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Enter the Son – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Happy to take the shortest way home here, this dog has never won track and trip but results over the six hundred as well as up the straight are excellent form.
Last up second at Healsville should see him running a nice straight line from the red saving plenty of ground throughout the run.
