Mepunga Donna scored back-to-back wins earlier this prep before adding two placings, and that form is good enough for this race.

The two-year-old daughter of Hooked on Scotch is a 10-time winner, so she has class on her side, and 720m is right up her alley.

She should land close to the speed and close nicely.

#5 – Both Bowers Ace @ $3.00

The four-year-old didn’t fire last time out at Wentworth Park, but that followed some excellent form.

He is one of the most consistent greyhounds going around, including 32 wins and 69 placings, which is a mind-boggling record.

We’re happy to keep backing him this season, which could be his last.

Gold Force was desperately unlucky two starts ago, but he got back to winning form last time out at Wentworth Park.

The three-year-old son of Aussie Infrared gets all favours from a wide trap, and he runs his best races at the track and distance.

This is an ideal race, so expect the odds to shorten on race night.

#1 – Taw Major @ $4.50

Gunning for four consecutive wins is Taw Major, who is an 11-time winner at the track and distance.

The classy two-year-old son of Wow scored by a length against a good field last time out, and he found plenty down the back straight.

Getting the rails run could be enough to get him home.

#7 – Garrison

Garrison doesn’t have any recent wins on the board, but the three-year-old won’t get a better chance.

The son of Tommy Shelby comes off three consecutive placings, and although they didn’t come at Q 1 Lakeside, they should give him a confidence boost.

The two-year-old son of Fernando Bale is a 14-time winner overall, with four of those coming at Q 1 Lakeside, so the track record is good.

We expect him to be tough to beat against an even field.

The two-year-old daughter of Fernando Bale could have easily won more races, and with the inside trap, she could score an overdue win.

#3 – Hara’s Neo @ $3.00
