Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.34PM TAB Long May we Play Final Mixed 6/7 – 515 metres
#2 Weblec Thunder – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Huge run in his heat punching the breeze from box seven the entire trip finishing a clear second behind the flying Aces Are Trumps in 29.79.
Has run 29.62 here and that was from box one, seems to be growing in stature every week and if he can show the same muster, he did last start he should cross the favourite in the red and win.
Race 2. 6.57PM Launching Pad Final Tonight Grade 5 – 595 metres
#7 Aratuza Bale – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Would much rather take the each-way quote on offer about this chaser who has finished runner-up in his last five than the $1.90 about the favourite off the inside.
He’ll get back early and look in rouble but has a huge motor and makes up massive ground when he hooks to the outside late.
Race 3. 7.19PM Follow us @sandowndogs Mixed 4/5 – 515 metres
#4 Yozo Bale – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the quickest dogs over the first two sections in Victoria, is always the likely leader in any company and if he can muster over from box four here can give a mighty sight over the 515.
Prefers this track to The Meadows favours the front runners, he’s gone 29.28 before which will be winning this.
Race 4. 7.40PM RSN Sandown Cup May 27 Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres
#5 Hank the Hustler – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Got further out of his ground than usual against a similar field last week and charged to the line late to grab third, if he can stay a little closer to the speed in three and four he’s got superior strength.
Is racing some very good dogs but he has the experience over track and trip, vacant box inside will help, good price.
Race 5. 7.58PM Launching Pad Consolation Series Final – 515 metres
#2 Blue Tiger – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Maps to get the best run imaginable here, the red lacks early toe and speed is his speciality, third up at Sandown Park this prep he’ll have every chance to be on the lure and humming.
Has taken some serious scalps around the one turn tracks and only has to put it together on the circle, the ability is there.
Race 6. 8.19PM Easter Gift Group Three – 515 metres
#1 Barooga Smoke – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
For the first time in a long time this twelve-time winner gets everything in his favour here, has been racing well without drawing a box, always pings off the red and has a good record here.
Has missed a place in three of twenty-seven starts, recently tested Shima Shine in the Horsham Cup Final, should rail and win.
Race 7. 8.40PM Launching Pad Consolation Special Event – 515 metres
#5 Earn the Answers – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has no speed outside him and plenty in box four and three to give him a nice trail into the race, if he finds clear air will rattle off huge middle and closing sections.
Has been within two lengths against top company his last two starts looks ripe to get back to his best which is 29.26 track and trip.
Race 8. 8.58PM Launching Pad Final Group 3 – 515 metres
#4 Fernando Mick – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was huge tracking four wide after missing the kick in the semi-finals hauling himself from second last to second on the line and a spot in the final.
Has Hadouken a known rail crasher to his inside if he can follow her across and land closer looks excellent value at the double-digit odds.
Race 9. 9.19PM Download the Watchdog App Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#2 Zipping Rambo – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was in a class of his own in similar company last week, exploded off an inside draw setting up a race winning lead in the mid stages.
Has only been over the six hundred for a short amount of time, his only weakness is his run home and it’s getting stronger each time out.
Race 10. 9.41PM Blackbook on the Watchdog App Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Negasi Bale – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been inconsistent of late but is better than that, last win was four starts ago leading all the way from box one at The Meadows, can show similar speed and strength here.
Has drawn box one once at the track for a career best 29.43 win, should turn things around here.
Race 11. 10.03PM Support RCH Grade 5 – 515 metres
#1 Aston Oriental – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a budding star, a winner of four from seven all in metropolitan company, last two starts has broken thirty at The Meadows from an inside and outside draw.
Has never come up with the red before but has won three races from box two, has speed to establish a race winning lead.
Race 12. 10.26PM Happy Easter Grade 5 – 515 metres
#7 Ambitious – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A remarkable start to a career straight up to the six hundred metres second start for a slashing win, backed it up going 29.5 here and then won at the one turn.
Obvious difficulty is drawing a wide box hasn’t been out here before but has always been quickly served and runs a straight line in the past.
