Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.34PM Download the Watchdog App grade 7 – 515 metres
#2 Going Alright – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Took his time to break his maiden but did so in style going 29.50 leading all the way from this draw last start, before that had always been around the mark here at Sandown.
That initial win can often open the floodgates, finds another winnable race here, the red has plenty of talent but not the same level of experience.
Race 2. 6.57PM sandowngreys.com.au Grade 6 – 515 metres
#4 Call Me Chloe – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another who had a breakout performance last start finally drawing an inside box and taking advantage with a 29.69 gallop.
Box four looks a lovely draw here with no pace in the one and two and vacant boxes to her inside and out she gets every chance to lead again.
Race 3. 7.19PM Sapphire Crown May 20 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#6 Stuart Lee Rose – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Lit up the clock when winning at Sale last start over the 520 metres going 29.17 to put a gap of eleven lengths on his nearest rival, had run sub thirty at Sandown from box eight two stats earlier.
Vacant box to his inside and a career record of three wins from box six says the draw suits should be pushing forward early.
Race 4. 7.43PM Harrison Dawson May 20 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#7 Shima Jake – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big fan of his last start effort behind Lots of Chatter who got the fly and was never going to be run down but he continued to work home well picking up lengths and going 29.71 in the process.
Gets a cart into the race from the six, if he’s close enough to the leaders will be going best when the whips are cracking.
Race 5. 8.04PM TAB.COM.AU Final Mixed 6/7 – 595 metres
#6 Aston Vogue – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has welcomed the jump to middle-distance running second on debut in 34.80 having to work overtime from box eight beaten a small margin and blitzed them in 34.36 here last start.
Is new to the trip and still has good box manners from sprinting days, can carve across and take up the running.
Race 6. 8.25PM RSN927 Racing & Sport Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#1 Zipping Rambo – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This price may even be generous for this powerful type who’s one of the best six hundred metre dogs in the country on any given day, his most recent win a slashing 34.31 effort at the Meadows.
Is obviously feeling good on the short backup, will relish box one and has run the hands off the clock here in the past.
Race 7. 8.46PM RSN Sandown Cup May 27 Mixed 4/5 – 715 metres
#4 Floral Lace – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had been struggling for form after coming back from season, her racing pattern is to go back and she just wasn’t running on, until last start showing great signs rallying into third.
These races have gone to the strongest commodity the past few weeks and if the leaders get tired she can run all day.
Race 8. 9.10PM Speed Star June 2 Free for All – 515 metres
#1 Music Event – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Gets his chance at revenge with another clash against Lakeview Walter here who lowered his colours last week in this grade from box one, with Music Event drawn inside this week he has the motor to hold the fence and atone.
Lakeview Walter will run a strong five hundred but is not as explosive as Music Event at his best, worth backing from the red.
Race 9. 9.28PM Accell Therapy Grade 5 – 515 metres
#7 Night to Burn – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
On the quick backup from a dominant win at The Meadows Saturday night, had no troubles getting out from box five and once in the clear sailed away for a routine win.
Has won in 29.96 from the seven here in the past and the small field should suit.
Race 10. 9.52PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Aston Shine – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Going better than what his form reads has been dealing with some serious dogs from some tough boxes, drawn back closer to the fence is huge here where she can run serious time.
At her best can clear the inside duo early and like most is a different chaser on the lure.
Race 11. 10.11PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Tea Pot Creek – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
First look at the circle after a dominant start to his career around the one turn tracks, has always been in the first few out of the boxes and has been hitting the line like he wants further.
Look for him to ping from the low draw find his way to the front and make his own luck.
Race 12. 10.31PM Follow Us @sandowndogs Grade 5 – 515 metres
#3 Katathani Kid – $6.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Lands in a nice grade given his five-win career to date including some impressive performances here, has been right around the mark of late without breaking through.
Big strong dog takes a few steps to muster but can shoulder into the clear and run a race at each-way odds.
