#3 Where’s Goose – Bet @ Sportsbet
The son of Mepunga Blazer impressed at his first start at track and trip going under by less than a length to Soda Fizz who he meets again here.
Gets the advantage of box three compared to his rival in six and second up at The Meadows should be able to find a few lengths.
Race 2. 6.57PM TOPCAT Video Grade 7 – 525 metres
#5 Xavien Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has gone back to the short course his last few runs and has jumped well to finish amongst the placings, before that he won here at The Meadows in 30.38 from box eight.
That’s a serious run for a young dog, there’s plenty of speed inside him he should get a cart across only danger is being trapped wide early.
Race 3. 7.17PM Meadows Conference & Events Centre Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#1 Neangar Boy – Bet @ Sportsbet
His record doesn’t reflect how good a chaser this young dog is, tangled with the likes of Group Class Fernando Mick a couple of starts back coming out on top on one occasion.
He’s unproven from the one but this is a big class drop, danger is in box eight will be trying to cross early.
Race 4. 7.37PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Fergusta Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
The veteran was struggling at track and trip recently and was dropped back to the one turn track at Warragul where he re found a bit of early dash he’d been lacking over the five hundred.
His best form isn’t far removed was a 30.07 winner here in late February and will be stalking the leader from box three.
Race 5. 8.00PM Join the 525 Club Now Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Aston Adonis – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been jumping between the sprint and middle-distance trips of late and has been performing admirably at both, metropolitan placed against the likes of Fernando Mick, Hank the Hustler and Flying Lantern.
This is a drop from that class and while he’ll be headed early knows how to rail and should be bursting for a run late.
Race 6. 8.23PM themeadows.org.au Grade 5 – 725 metres
#4 Hostile Savage – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been a pleasant surprise since arriving from South Australia, was mostly a short course dog there and has been straight up over the 660 metres in Victoria with two strong showings.
Gives away a bit of class to Party Lights but looks like one who could relish he 725 metre trip.
Race 7. 8.43PM Feikuai Greyhounds Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#4 Wallbanger – Bet @ Sportsbet
Just got too far back last start in a race of similar class to this, as he always does charged home into the placings but needs to jump better this week to give himself a winning chance.
Is always a great each way bet if you can find the odds, never runs a bad race and will be doing his best work on the run home.
Race 8. 9.04PM KCR Pet Transport Free for All – 525 metres
#4 Jepara – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t had it all his own way recently, lost out in the Golden Easter Egg Heats at Wentworth Park last week and has been a runner-up here his previous two starts.
Very smart pup who’s been in top grade for a while now, with the vacant outside him has the upside to bounce back with a statement win here.
Race 9. 9.24PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Handsome Jack – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had been racing up the straight at Healsville before getting back to the circle at Sandown and The Meadows his last two starts, has looked promising especially last time out running 30.09.
Straight track experience has taught him good box manners and if he runs a straight line here could find the front and take improvement from the last two weeks.
Race 10. 9.45PM TAB Venue Mode Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Fabroni Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
A dog that doesn’t win out of turn but might have found his right race here, made up a huge amount of ground running second from this draw last start and looks to get a nice cart across.
All the speed is on his immediate inside if he can sit in the first four out of the straight he’ll come home best.
Race 11. 10.05PM Download the Watchdog App Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Ask for More – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was game in defeat behind the classy Gentlemen Thief here last start. Chased his heart out just couldn’t bridge the gap.
A couple of runs before that turned heads with a 29.42 perform at Sandown from this same draw showing searing early pace to take hold of the race, second week in a row track and trip he could peak again.
Race 12. 10.27PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Crackerjack Dev – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a dog on the verge of a city breakthrough, has been testing them over the short course and in a moderate race here will get his chance to go forward get on the lure and run a bold race.
Does have experience and is a winner here before it won’t be foreign to him out in front.
