The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.37PM Sky Racing Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#8 Drako Bale – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Doesn’t have a fantastic win ratio with just the one from a dozen starts but is always around the mark, drawn out in the eight could get a cart across from the speed in the six.
If he’s able to pair off our from has had much more experience running out a strong five hundred than the rest of these.
Race 2. 6.59PM Epping RSL Grade 6 – 525 metres
#4 Xavien Bale – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Lit it up here three starts ago pinging from a middle box to run away a comfortable 30.03 winner, has been good without winning his last two and gets back to a similar class Meadows race here.
Can be hit or miss at the start but if he gets it right should be setting the first sectional and making his own luck.
Race 3. 7.20PM Kenneth R Jeffery Memorial Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Night to Burn – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Raced well on a recent trip to Mount Gambier to take on open class Group Company, won his heat well and was only beaten by the flying Zipping Zarbo in the final.
Returned to Sandown in a tough race last start and finished down the track to Perfect Colour, this looks easier with no pace around him early.
Race 4. 7.43PM Paul O Festival of 50 Stakes Mixed ¾ – 600 metres
#2 Zipping Rambo – $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Went under as an odds on elect last time when hindered at the start and was put out of the race pretty early, still managed to finish on the heels of the leader.
That was from a wider draw, he slots in nicely here in the two, should find a nice spot and run time these can’t at track and trip.
Race 5. 8.06PM TAB Venue Mode Final Grade 5 – 600 metres
#8 Tyler Durden – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Shocked to see this gun chaser still in fifth grade company, has been over he middle-distance for a while now and has recorded brilliant wins at his last two starts.
Has always had the ability to do it at the front and back end of races, will have to be on his toes from the eight but has the motor to get across and make up ground.
Race 6. 8.28PM Fawkner RSL Grade 5 – 600 metres
#3 Mohinga Chase – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Maps to get a nice run here with the favourites drawn off the track this chaser more known for his sprinting prowess can really press the issue early and go clear mid-race.
If a dog like Hank the Hustler gets clear running from the five he’s in trouble, but he generally gets shuffled back and Mohinga is a good each-way price.
Race 7. 8.50PM Mr. Allan Browitt Memorial Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#2 Aston Gwen – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was perilously close to crossing a free for all field last start from box seven and was checked badly off heels losing all momentum, if she’d got to the front would have been tough to catch.
In a slightly easier race here and drawn nice and cosy in the two has the speed/strength combination to dictate this race.
Race 8. 9.13PM Glenroy RSL Free for All – 525 metres
#5 Equalizer – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was the winner of the Free for All Aston Gwen contested last week once he got into a stalking role behind the leaders it was times and margins as he blew by them in 29.74 by seven lengths.
He’s likely to rely of luck early from the five this week and has never won from box four out, but so good was the performance you back him to make up ten lengths from out the back.
Race 9. 9.35PM Bert Lawes Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Memphis Keeping – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looking well and truly at home in Victoria now has had he five starts in the state and is building towards a metropolitan win with a strong second here last week.
Just ran out of gas late on that occasion, comes up with the same draw in a similar field and should find natural improvement.
Race 10. 9.57PM reservoir RSL Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Real Reward – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Daughter of KC and All looks well over the odds especially given her recent form winning three of her last five headlined b a slashing 29.43 victory at Sandown.
Has been pining the lids over this stretch and coming over from the seven to find a spot in the run looks achievable.
Race 11. 10.17PM William S Phillips Memorial Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Trendy Universe – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
It’s been a case of close but no cigar for this chaser of late, plenty of merit in her runs here in town but has always been a couple of lengths off, gets the chance to change that here.
Doesn’t fly out but musters well and has a good history here at the track from this draw winning in 30.37 and has come a way since then.
Race 12. 10.32PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Aston Maeve – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Resumed after a couple of months off the scene over the 450 at Shepparton and despite being one of the last away motored to the line to win fresh.
Good sign to see the kennel get her straight back up to the five hundred where she’s had plenty of success before.
