The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 4.14PM GRV Vic Bred Maiden Series Final – 525 metres
#3 Slick Sister – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
You wouldn’t want her any shorter than this, but in a field of dogs who’re yet to win their first races she’s gone back to back in good time here at The Meadows.
Battles Hardcore Vibes again who she been last time, she’s drawn directly outside that runner and should track it into the race before unwinding a strong finish.
Race 2. 4.31PM Sky Racing 3-6 Wins Final – 525 metres
#6 Big Fonzie – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has put together a cracking record in his young career going five from eight, he is short on experience here at The Meadows which looks like the only draw back.
He should have the pace to cross Paddy Wants Pats and make a run for the rail, second up here track and trip expect him to be stronger.
Race 3. 4.47PM Bendigo to The Meadows Final – 525 metres
#2 Lot’s of Chatter – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks one of the better bets in the card, he’s one of the best greyhounds in Victoria that carries form from the provincial track to the city with a 29.81 best here at The Meadows.
Run Baba Run will likely lead him up from the one, but he’s got the experience to camp on his back or sit outside him and surge past late.
Race 4. 5.04PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#6 King of Calypso – $12 – Bet @ Sportsbet
He’s always an each-way special in these kind of races this dog, generally runs just over the thirty second mark, won’t blow them away but is always game.
If the speed drawn inside bring each other undone he has the strength and smarts to come with a head of steam in the latter stages.
Race 5. 5.27PM Snow Queen Final Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Suntory Rose – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
More value on offer here with this bitch who has a similar race pattern to our last pick, only steady early but will swamp these when it comes to the run home.
Was a good thing beaten last week copping interference early, if she can overcome box seven she’s maybe the classiest chaser in this field.
Race 6. 5.47PM themeadows.org.au Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#6 Aratuza Bale – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been tested over the seven hundred recently and has lead for a long way before getting tired, good to see her back to her right trip at the middle-distance.
She’s a better dog off the inside, but she should track the favourite across who’ll show early pace from box four and if in striking distance will be finishing harder.
Race 7. 6.12PM Download the Watchdog App Grade 4 – 525 metres
#4 Envy to Burn – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been in much higher grade recently taking on Drako Bale, Qwara Bale, Koblenz and Riccarton Rick in his last five starts.
He gets away from that grade here and is drawn well in this race to use his box manners to find the front and keep on running, is proven here at The Meadows.
Race 8. 6.37PM Join the 525 Club Now Free for All – 525 metres
#8 Koblenz – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has gone three starts without a win which is unheard of for this freakish chaser, but has lost no admirers running in the placings against some of Victoria’s best.
Mr. Fix It in the red has been air borne but I would prefer him outside, this dog has no pace around him and should sail to the lead and not relent.
Race 9. 6.57PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Carry on Liam – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
You get bang for your buck with this chaser, he rarely puts a bad one in and drawn the red here the powerful type should get time to wind up and come with a head of steam mid-race.
Hasn’t won in a while but is always around the mark, has run 30.04 at track and trip this year.
Race 10. 7.19PM Feikuai Greyhounds Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Bahati Bale – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t been living up to her talent lately hence the double digit price tag, this could be the race that punters fill their boots.
She’s well and truly capable of running a drum on her night and in a moderate fifth grade of this calibre could find a few lengths off the inside.
Race 11. 7.40PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Halberd Bale – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been a great dog over the journey a winner of sixteen races and over $100k he looked like he was slowing down but has been revitalised of late.
Was a super winner in 30.20 here last start in a first out first home performance turning back the clock, he’s the clear speed influence out wide and will give plenty of cheek.
Race 12. 8.03PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Spring Bolt – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was beaten handily by Dr. Xander last week, but running 30.47 behind a good one first up in Victoria has plenty of merit to it and he should be much fitter this time around.
Can really trouble these with early speed and the ones that can go with him don’t run out the five hundred.
