The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.47PM TAB.COM.AU Grade 5 Heat 1 – 525 metres

#2 Chun Li – Bet @ Sportsbet

Got an unexpected run in last week Australian Cup Heats as a reserve and was far from disgraced running fifth behind Christo Bale.

Comes back to her right grade this week and looks well drawn in the two to go forward early, has won five times combines from boxes one and two, runs on well in her races and won’t be run down from behind.

Race 2. 7.07PM TAB Multiplier Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres

#2 Aratuza Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

This is a race with a tonne of early pace, something is going to give early but the way this bitch uses the rail she should be the one driving through and leading.

Did just that last month when running 30.03 here in a first out first home run, a lot of these run around the thirty second mark should get a decent price.

Race 3. 7.28PM GRV Vic Bred Maiden Final – 525 metres

#3 Mepunga Freda – Bet @ Sportsbet

Finally broke through to win her maiden at start nine last time out and it was worth the wait a 30.06 four length performance.

Had run some good races here from wide boxes just missing out, should take a lot of confidence from her first win and is drawn to repeat.

Race 4. 7.46PM GRV Vic Bred Fifth Grade Final – 525 metres

#4 Fernando Mick – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has gone under as a short, priced favourite his last two starts on the back of a career best 29.83 win here.

He had box one when he missed out on those two occasions and throughout his career has preferred to be drawn the middle of the line, gets a chance to find his best again this week.

Race 5. 8.10PM Country Championship Final – 525 metres

#7 Aston Rupee – Bet @ Sportsbet

Explosive young pup who’s making waves after six starts a four-time winner and a couple of minors, has taken of Music Event recently from box eight and knocked him over at Ballarat, a great form reference.

Always a question how they’ll handle a track first up but he’s been flawless at box rise and will be doing his best to find the fence and the lead.

Race 6. 8.28PM TAB Australian Cup Consolation – 525 metres

#1 Yozo Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks a special here, has been a freak around the one turn tracks before recent success running second in the Group One Temlee and second in his Australian Cup Heat last week.

He could probably lead this field from anywhere, but box one gives him even more of an advantage he should shoot away mid-race and take some catching.

Race 7. 8.45PM Cup Night Middle-Distance – 600 metres

#3 Aston Ulysses – Bet @ Sportsbet

The most in-form dog of a gun field has smashed the clock his last five runs at Sandown and importantly The Meadows, he can do it from outside boxes but the three suits just fine.

Does his best work when he goes straight to the front and leads but showed last start he can sit behind them and come with a strong run home.

Race 8. 9.12PM Fanta Bale Super Stayers Group One Final – 725 metres

#1 Houdini Boy – Bet @ Sportsbet

The box draw has made this race even more interesting, Run Like Jess and Zack Monelli in two and three will be the leaders, with the stronger dogs all drawn out with the exception of Houdini Boy.

If he can let the leaders go early and sit behind on the rail he could find himself nice and close in the run and will be finishing like a train.

Race 9. 9.37PM TAB Australian Cup Final Group 1 – 525 metres

#8 Christo Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

There were a lot of questions about this champion chaser before last weeks heats but he answered them emphatically and is capable of going on step better and claiming his first Group One.

Fernando Bluey looks the clear leader from the six if Christo Bale can tack onto his run and get the sit he’ll be poised for a trademark swooping win, should come up at nice each-way odds.

Race 10. 10.02PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 Heat 2 – 525 metres

#7 Nice and Easy – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has done his best work at the provincials with slick wins at Shepparton and Geelong showing impressive muster to burst out of the pack and win.

Brought that good form here to the Meadows winning in 30.12 three starts ago, would prefer to be near the rail but the five and the six should give him a run across where he can really get going.

Race 11. 10.22PM TAB Venue Mode Grade 5 Heat 3 – 525 metres

#5 Invictus Waive – Bet @ Sportsbet

The son of Black Magic Opal has mostly impressed at Sandown thus far in his career but a strong 29.57 win indicates he’s ready to tackle the extra ten metres at The Meadows.

Box five will be no worry if he brings his box manners can lead from anywhere when he’s pinging and has some slow beginners inside to help.

Race 12. 10.39PM TAB Live Sky Vision Grade 5 Heat 4 – 525 metres

#7 Hadouken – Bet @ Sportsbet

Recent form doesn’t read great but he’s been up in tougher company having a crack at the bigger races is much more suited in this fifth grade contest.

Known as a lid pinger and often does his best work from out wide where he can cut off a field and set up and lead, can get tired but has won well here before.
