The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.39PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Grade 7 – 525 metres
#2 Time For Peace – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been at The Meadows since the start of his young career and despite a few learning curves the benefits are starting to show with a 30.27 win to his name last start.
Was able to get out of box six and lead on that occasion the time more than handy for maiden company, there might be a few that go with him early but he has the experience over the distance.
Race 2. 7.00PM themeadows.org.au Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#2 Aston Crystal – Bet @ Sportsbet
Only three starts into her career Jason Thompson’s charge has already clocked a 29.58 win around Sandown Park, a time worthy of much higher grade.
She won that race from box one, comes up with the two here and should be able to dictate terms if she bounces and be too speedy over the 525 trip.
Race 3. 7.20PM Kyle Gilbert Bucks Grade 6 – 525 metres
#5 Fernando Mick – Bet @ Sportsbet
Speedy type who ran some really handy races around the one turn tracks before coming to The Meadows three starts ago, is showing signs of improvement each time out peaking with a 30.18 win.
Has been right around that mark all three runs and should get the drop on Suntory Lass and Suntory Rose if he follows them across from the middle draw.
Race 4. 7.39PM TAB.COM.AU Restricted Win 2-3 – 525 metres
#7 Mudslide – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks to have the ideal draw to get back to his lid pinging best with stayer Nordegren drawn directly to his inside and prior form over the shorts of scooting across from wide boxes.
Had the favours first up here with the one last week, showing good pace and a shift to the outside of the track shouldn’t hurt him with the same muster.
Race 5. 8.02PM Sky Racing Final Restricted Win – 525 metres
#4 Drumroll Please – Bet @ Sportsbet
Super talent who’s always gone great here at the track, had been racing well over the six hundred but dropped back and rattled off a 30.19 win from box eight in the heats last week.
Despite getting over more ground hasn’t lost any early punch and if he can break well from the middle of the line won’t be caught in restricted company.
Race 6. 8.17PM TOPCAT Video Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#1 Gypsy Bun – Bet @ Sportsbet
Gun draw for a gun chaser, she’s been out of the winners circle for a while competing with the likes of Equalizer and Short Pork in much tougher races, but draws the pole in her right company and looks a good thing here.
Should be forward if not leading from the one and running down around her previous thirty second best.
Race 7. 8.37PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#2 Rostered Off – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is making every post a winner since his recent step up to the six hundred metres a pair of 34.54 and 34.50 wins his last two starts indicating he’s the real deal.
Has bounced and led on both of those occasions and once again should relish the inside box draw, four if his eight career wins coming from the one or the two.
Race 8. 8.57PM KCR Pet Transport Mixed ¾ – 525 metres
#2 Gypsy Zelda – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been slightly below her best of late, squeeze draws and slightly missing the kick haven’t been a good combination, but she’s going better than her form indicates.
Finds a tough but winnable race here where she should get time to muster from box two and find her way into a nice position mid-race, her 29.93 best came less than a month ago, tha form isn’t too far off.
Race 9. 9.21PM Feikuai Greyhounds Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 William Rose – Bet @ Sportsbet
Plenty of chasing in this dogs legs, fifty starts eleven wins, twenty-two minors he’s always around the mark without ever elevating to star status and stacks up well in fifth grade company.
Takes a while to get going, but knows how to navigate a field which will be crucial from the wide draw, a draw where he’s seen plenty of success before.
Race 10. 9.40PM Join the 525 Metre Club Now Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Hedbridean Black – Bet @ Sportsbet
Powerful type up over the thirty-six kilo mark can work in his favour and against often finding contact early, if he can withstand that and get into the clear can really open up over this trip.
Will rely on a few breaks early but if he gets into the race has run some serious time here and wil be challenging at the pointy end.
Race 11. 10.01PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Mepunga Warrior – Bet @ Sportsbet
Shapes as a battle of the kennel mates with Jeff Britton’s other hope Silken also a main fancy here, Mepunga warrior draws outside in the five and at his best should get right on the back of the kennel mate and finish over the top.
He mixed his box manners but after just eight starts is already a 29.98 winner here and represents the better value of the two.
Race 12. 10.26PM Download the New Watchdog App Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Code Blue Sue – Bet @ Sportsbet
A model of consistency over her last five starts four placings and a win all coming here at the Meadows and she’s yet to come up with a draw as good as this one.
Won her race two starts back with pure speed from the five, if she shows it from the one she’ll be hard to hold out and knows how to get around the track.
