The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.37PM Vale Ray Byron Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#8 Zipping James – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has not run a bad race to date, a winner of two of eight and placed in his six other runs he went big running second here two starts ago and blew them away going 29.44 at Sandown last start.
Unlike a lot of these has positive experiences here at track and trip and from the wide draw, should jump and run from the eight.
Race 2. 6.57PM Sky Racing Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Boston Garden – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was coming with a rush in his Silver Chief heat last week cutting into the margin with every stride but simply ran out of ground.
For a young dog has plenty of experience at the metro tracks under his belt and should relish the tough 525 metre test here at The Meadows in a slightly easier field to what he faced last start.
Race 3. 7.17PM TAB Multiplier Heat One Grade 5 – 600 metres
#8 Dusty Lyn – Bet @ Sportsbet
Continues to bounce between the six hundred metres in the city and the one turn provincial tracks and also continues to have better results here over the middle-distance a pair of close seconds.
Has shown the speed to put herself in the race early from an inside or outside draw, should be fresh for this after the shorter run and looks a big threat.
Race 4. 7.37PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#1 Loxton Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t yet tasted success here at The Meadows, but is a perennial winner at Sandown and on the provincial circuit, strikes a race perfect to knock off that first win.
Has been scorching around Sale and Sandown getting down to 29.29 at the latter, that’s serious going, looks the likely leader and will get her chance to run it out.
Race 5. 7.55PM Houdini Boy at Stud Grade 5 – 600 metres
#7 Jepara – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has elevated to Group One status over the sprint making the Melbourne Cup Final dead heating with Koblenz and has since raced in Tasmania.
This jump to the six hundred has been a long time in the works he’s always a dog that if he’s close enough he’s good enough and even short a run will dig in when he puts himself in the frame here.
Race 6. 8.13PM KCR Pet Transport Free for All – 525 metres
#8 Earn The Answers – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was the dog to beat here in these races a few months ago and while he definitely hasn’t gone off the boil small margins have seen those wins turn into placings, but he’s capable of getting it back.
Comes out flying on his night and is not badly boxed in the eight if he can interfere with a few early on his way to the front.
Race 7. 8.38PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 600 metres
#2 Aston Lavinia – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks one of the bets of the night from this draw, she’s won ten races from the inside three boxes including last start at Sandown when she was rewarded for consistent form.
Comes out running and should dive down to the fence early and lead this lot, has been up here for a while now and the six hundred is no problem strength wise.
Race 8. 8.57PM TAB Silver Chief Final Group One – 525 metres
#4 Weblec Blazer – Bet @ Sportsbet
Should come up a decent price here and despite the less than ten start prospects in this race, this thirty-two star veteran has what it takes to upstage them on the biggest night of his career.
Was terrific winning his heat from box eight rising to the occasion, he’ll have to bring the same speed to the first mark but is peaking when it counts.
Race 9. 9.19PM TOPCAT Video Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Chop Scotch – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t been to The Meadows for a while but he certainly knows how to win here boasting a 29.87 best from box one not all that long ago.
Has been in excellent form at the provincials showing great muster out of the lids, if the three misses him early he should scrape the paint in front and be tough to beat.
Race 10. 9.40PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Zipping Chandler – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big advocate for this dog, his career trajectory is back on track after a last start win and looks to have plenty of scope to improve.
Is yet to win here but has been building at Sandown culminating in a 29.59 win that can translate here.
Race 11. 9.58PM Victoolshop.com Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Crabby Yabby – Bet @ Sportsbet
Speed, speed and more speed, this dog is going to have to fly the lids and get out to a big margin mid-race and he’s capable of doing it a winner of two of his last three he’s been building towards this.
Will likely be on weary legs late but you always like a dog who makes his own luck on the lure.
Race 12. 10.20PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Panyam Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
There’s a tonne of speed inside this dog which isn’t always a good thing but hopefully they crash towards the rail and take him with them.
If they do he has the runs on the board here at The Meadows to take over mid-race and go home too strongly.
