The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.32PM he Meadows Conference and Events Centre Grade 7 – 525 metres
#5 Calix Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had his first couple of starts over the 390 metres and looked way too short as he charged to the line for a pair of placings, stepped up to the 450 last time out and looked much more comfortable knocking off a maiden win.
The Jump to the 525 looks to suit down to the ground, should leave well and put himself in a spot to run out the trip.
Race 2. 6.48PM Sky Racing Final Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#1 Fernando’s Quest – Bet @ Sportsbet
Gave them a touch up in he heats which was his first look at track and trip, an impressive 30.23 winner, first out and first home from this same alley.
Natural progression should see him lower that time on the clock and prove he’s the one to beat here.
Race 3. 7.09PM TAB.COM.AU 1-3 Wins Restricted Win Final – 525 metres
#3 Osprey Rose – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been a coming of age for this bitch getting to five hundred metre racing, ran a bold second on debut here over the journey and backed it up with a Meadows and Sandown win in the lead up.
That’s tremendous form for a restricted one to three win race, she’s been drawing outside and should only be more forward from box three.
Race 4. 7.30PM TOPCAT Video Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Mohinga Chase – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been going along nicely without breaking through for a win, but continues to put himself in the frame and gets a good look here with no pace outside him and the three dog to take him into the race.
Often wins and loses his races the first fifty metres, if he can step off the mat and into a good spot he’s a big danger.
Race 5. 7.50PM themeadows.org.au Grade 5 – 725 metres
#4 Weblec Haze – Bet @ Sportsbet
Fair question to ask why we’re tipping a dog who’s run seventh and eighth at his last two starts and it’s all about grading, on both those occasions he knocked up behind Hank the Hustler, the most recent by only four lengths.
That’s good form dropping back to a fifth grade and he’s one of the genuine stayers here that will run it out.
Race 6. 8.09PM Feikuai Greyhounds Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#2 Gypsy Wyong – Bet @ Sportsbet
The budding middle-distance star just couldn’t find her way across from a wide draw in the heats of the Group Two McKenna, but finds a much better alley here to show her talents.
Can press forward early but for a bitch with only nine starts is just as impressive with her strong run home.
Race 7. 8.28PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#5 Knicks Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was excellent last week in a tough six hundred metre race at Sandown, he jumped straight to the front and looked all out a winner until getting a stitch late.
Has always been versatile over the two distances and he’ll be the one finishing strong this week.
Race 8. 8.49PM Join the 525 Club Now Free for All – 525 metres
#8 Gypsy Yankee – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hard not to be impressed with what this chaser’s done of late, a dual winner around the one turn tracks as well as a 29.4 and 29.47 run at Sandown and he’s done it from all boxes.
No direct speed inside him here he should work into a nice position at the first turn and call on that confidence.
Race 9. 9.12PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Special Event – 725 metres
#8 Hank the Hustler – Bet @ Sportsbet
Comes back home after an enormous run in the Group One Queensland Cup Heats where he can from no where to get up for third.
Was well out of his ground early on that occasion, which is unlike him, box eight here at The Meadows gives him a decent run to the first turn while boxes one and to cut at each other early.
Race 10. 9.35PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Mahogany Jet – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has found his grove his last couple of times out, consecutive 29.95 and 30.04 wins here at track and trip, it’s something the veteran has always been capable of and is showing out.
Lovely blend of speed to hold a position in the race early and power to turn the screws in the middle stages, top pick.
Race 11. 9.54PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Collinda Patty – Bet @ Sportsbet
Comes to The Meadows for the first time with one of the best form references in Victoria running to within two lengths of star chaser Koblenz over the 515 metres at Sandown.
Is a young dog with great muster and should explode outside and look to cross this lot and lead them the whole way.
Race 12. 10.10PM Download the Watchdog App Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Carry on Maxwell – Bet @ Sportsbet
You’d probably take him with a little more confidence from box one, but such is his form and talent this is not beyond him from the wide draw.
Broke the clock recently at Sandown and is a winner from boxes six and seven, still looking to get off the mark from the eight.
