The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.37PM GRv Vic Bred Grade 5 Series Final – 525 metres
#1 Arizona Eyes – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Adept over both the sprint and middle distance trips, is drawn to get a cosy run from the red, if she doesn’t give up too much ground early will be bursting for a run late.
There’s some good speed wide on the track that’s likely to lead her, but as long as no one gets a flyer she looks an excellent each-way play.
Race 2. 6.57PM Destini Lodge Fireball Heat 1 – 725 metres
#2 I’m Easy Boys – $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
His stock has really risen over recent months, has gone from a serviceable six hundred metre dog to a stayer capable of winning a race like this with sustained speed.
Zipping Rambo is the clear danger from box seven, but comes up very short and is historically better at Sandown.
Race 3. 7.20PM Destini Lodge Fireball Heat 2 – 725 metres
#2 Hank the Hustler – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Coming off a Group One run in Queensland he’ll enjoy being back at home and maps to get a beautiful run behind the speed of the race Run Like Jess.
If he can track her from the two he should peel of its back and have the fresher legs in the latter stages of this one.
Race 4. 7.39PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 1 – 525 metres
#1 Lakeview Cruiser – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been searching for his best form of late but this looks right in his wheelhouse, box one at The Meadows in a class field expect him to lift for this race.
Has the speed to muster and lead, but being a big powerful type can also come from behind with a big run late.
Race 5. 8.03PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 2 – 525 metres
#5 Koblenz – $1.65 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Freakish talent, cut his teeth around the one turn tracks and was recently a Group winner against some of the best dogs in the state.
Has adapted well to the longer trip with faultless box manners he should be leading here and it’ll be up to a dog like Aston Fastnet to run him down.
Race 6. 8.20PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 3 – 525 metres
#5 Drako Bale – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Underrated chaser who’s been slowly building a name for himself the last couple of months, races over the sprint and six hundred metres but the one constant is his mid-race turn of foot.
The box draw is tricky but if he finds himself mid-field leaving the straight and ahead of Jungle Deuce he’ll be finishing the best.
Race 7. 8.38PM Maturity Classic Heat 4 – 525 metres
#2 Aston Rupee – $1.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the biggest talents going around in the country, was narrowly beaten by Shima Shine at Group level recently and ran a huge third here last start.
Before that it was win after win with her rare mix of speed and power she should find herself on the fence early and running time.
Race 8. 8.58PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 5 – 525 metres
#3 Keep it Black – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Dropped in grade for an easy win at track and trip about a month ago and that was just the confidence booster this chaser needed right back in top form.
Will need to be to beat Qwara Bale here, but the favourite has been just missing the kick of late and Keep it Black should be there to capitalize.
Race 9. 9.21PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 6 – 525 metres
#5 Hill Top Jack – $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Perfectly put together Meadows dog, big powerful type who can shoulder his way past Gypsy Wyong early and into the clear, has a big motor once he finds a nice position in the run.
Has done plenty of his racing here a multiple winner with a best of 29.91 which he could well and truly better with a clear run.
Race 10. 9.45PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 7 – 525 metres
#1 Fernando Mick – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was a bit all over the place when he came back to circle racing but has settled in nicely just in time for this assignment coming off back to back confidence boosting wins.
Punters would love to see him punch up and hold them out from the red, if he does is far too strong to get run down.
Race 11. 10.10PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 8 – 525 metres
#1 Do It – $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Coming off an excellent Queensland Carnival when only superstar Jungle deuce had his measure, was still running some excellent time and will enjoy being back at home.
Can do it at both ends of the race, will use the rail to drive early and has a kick on the way home, happy to take the price.
Race 12. 10.27PM TAB.COM.AU Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#8 Overflow Lisa – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Drawn where she wants to be out in the eight and has the speed of New Swing Jack in the six to give her a lovely run into the race.
She’s got the mid-race turn of foot to surge past him and sail through for a victory.
