The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.39PM TAB Long May We Play Mixed 6/7 Final – 525 metres
#1 Estrella Starr – Bet Now
Sign of a good bitch last week when she managed to win despite not being at her best, that’s now a second and a pair of wins in her last three starts at The Meadows which she is really warming to.
Gets box one here where she has only drawn once before and won, expect a better getaway and to really challenge her current 30.23 personal best.
Race 2. 6.59PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 1 – 525 metres
#1 Playlist – Bet Now
Fresh of his Group One Vic Peters Crown Playlist has a great chance of keeping the form rolling here in the heats of the Maturity.
First and foremost, box one is huge a four-time winner from the draw he grows another leg off the inside.
His form around Tommy Shelby in the Vic Peters is the best you’ll find and with the speed in this race drawn off the track expect him again to mind his own business on the rail and be right in the finish.
Race 3. 7.18PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 2 – 525 metres
#8 Road To Success – Bet Now
Versatile chaser who’s able to mix his wins from the one turn tracks to the six hundred metres and is very good in between over the 525 as well.
Last start winner at the track ahead of the handy Avalanche and should appreciate moving to box eight, reliably away should run a nice straight line and use mid and late race speed to overcome these.
Race 4. 7.37PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 2 – 525 metres
#2 Christo Bale – Bet Now
An easy pick here arguably the inform greyhound in Victoria racking up victories in Free For All company against the older dogs with early speed and has shown he can stay over the six hundred as well.
Draws ideally for this in box two back against rivals his own age, has the attributes to take control early and not let up.
Race 5. 8.00PM The Fireball Heat 1 – 725 metres
#6 True Detective – Bet Now
Stands out as the star of this stacked field, has just been freshened up recently over the six hundred metres in preparation for this assignment and should have the early toe to go very close to leading these from box six where he’s been successful from before.
Proven at track and distance experience gets him the nod over the likes of six hundred metre jet thriving, True Detective has great sustained speed and will be right in the picture.
Race 6. 8.18PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 4 – 525 metres
#5 Who Told Stevie – Bet Now
Known as the brother to the peerless Simon Told Helen Who Told Stevie is one serious race dog himself and coming off a third in the Group One Brisbane Cup and a quick freshen up looks ready for this assignment.
Has shown wonderful field sense avoiding trouble early, probably won’t lead these but will put himself in a position to win the race.
Tiggerlong Tonk is a more than respectable opponent but hasn’t run anywhere near Who told Stevie’s 29.65 best here at The Meadows.
Race 7. 8.37PM The Fireball Heat 2 – 725 metres
#8 Here’s Tears – Bet Now
Another brother to a champion this time Tornado Tears who is forging his own name as one of the countries best stayers and gets his chance to prove it here from box eight in a tough field.
Race maps well for him Rockstar Beav in the six will look to carve across early and known to use a bit of the track Here’s tears will get his chance to come into the race from out wide.
Sir Truculent is one to keep safe, dominant in South Australia against weaker company we’ll see what he’s made of this week.
Race 8. 9.00PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 5 – 525 metres
#4 Simon Told Helen – Bet Now
This freakish talent picks himself here, was a tough ask going to Brisbane for the Group One flying in on the day of the race.
Dave Burnett has had time to let the dust settle get him back feeling comfortable at home and he should come out breathing fire here.
As always with him if he musters early his mid-race speed is unmatched, happy to take the short price.
Race 9. 9.25PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 6 – 525 metres
#6 Wallbanger – Bet Now
A dog that keeps getting better and better never shies away from tough company and is reaching the point where he can crack one of these big races.
He enjoys the outside and will be sailing home late but will have to sweat on Hard Style Rico and Squiggle Keeping in the two and three hassling each other early.
With neither of the favourites in knockout form Wallbanger will run you a race at a price.
Race 10. 9.42PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 7 – 520 metres
#6 Jax Bale – Bet Now
Has only missed a place four times from seventeen starts and constantly races against the best the state has to offer, comes up with box six which he’s enjoyed in the past and if he gets down near his 29.47 Sandown form two starts ago watch out.
Will look to clear the strong Aston Gwen in box four early and winning machine Zambora Smokey must overcome box eight.
Race 11. 10.01PM KCR Pet Transport Maturity Heat 8
#8 Party Lights – Bet Now
Should find a good each way quote about the young bitch here who’s in winning form and improving by the week.
Albeit in lesser company, she boats three wins here from her last four in 30.16, 30.17 and 30.18 and maps beautifully to get a run across from the eight with Lots of Chatter to her inside.
Race 12. 10.25PM Sky Racing Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#8 Razor Burn – Bet Now
Hasn’t been out of the placings in metro races his last five starts including two wins, got chopped out early by Zambora Lion last start and battled on well for third.
Ideally drawn off the track musters well at the start and has run under thirty seconds here in the past, finish with a winner.
