The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.42PM Sky Racing Grade 7 – 525 metres
#3 Kanji Length – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was as consistent as anything when racing around the one turn tracks early in his career, always looked like he wanted further though and has stepped up since coming to The Meadows.
Two runs here have clocked 30.60 and 30.56 for a fourth and second placing, in a moderate race here from a good box can break through with a good getaway.
Race 2. 7.03PM TOPCAT Video Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#8 Gold Symbol – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a bitch going places, is two from two winning her maiden in 30.62 and improving by .33 of a second last week in a first out first home win.
Has shown natural box speed in both runs, the challenge will be getting across from the eight but if she does expect her to trim more off her personal best.
Race 3. 7.22PM The Meadows Conference and Events Centre Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Call me Buster – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t quite taken to the Meadows yet unplaced at his last two starts, but he’s a smart chaser a winner of five from twelve it’s a matter of time until he figures things out.
Has shown good early speed winning at Sandown, if he recaptures that form will be right in the mix at the finish here.
Race 4. 7.40PM themeadows.org.au Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#8 Do It – Bet @ Sportsbet
A Group One talent over the sprint he stepped up to the six hundred last start and didn’t put a foot wrong, was well away from box eight which he draws again and kicked again with a second effort when challenged.
Small field should help him take control of this race early from the outside draw as he looks to improve on his first up run.
Race 5. 8.04PM tab.com.au Restricted Win 3-6 Final – 600 metres
#3 Gypsy Wong – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the most talented young six hundred metre chasers going around at the moment, has never lost here at The Meadows in some tough races early in her career.
Is suited here in a restricted win race when she’s capable of taking it to much tougher company, is getting better with every outing.
Race 6. 8.25PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Mixed 4/5 – 725 metres
#7 I’m Easy Boys – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This dog continues to improve, a couple of months ago was a solid middle-distance chaser but has elevated to be a serious contender in these type of races.
Should use his middle-distance speed to get up outside the lead from box seven and has developed a motor capable of running out this trip no worries.
Race 7. 8.42PM Feikuai Greyhounds Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#8 Kuro Kismet – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Group One star has been plying his trade at Sandown Park winning his races in good time, is not quite as well performed at The Meadows but that should change quickly.
There’s no speed inside him in this race which should see him challenge the leaders and the powerhouse he is he’ll keep finding in the run.
Race 8. 9.02PM Join the 525 Club Now Free for All – 525 metres
#2 Mr. Fix It – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
May come up even shorter than this but the quote is well and truly justified coming off a third placing in the Group One Maturity Classic.
If Qwara Bale hadn’t flown the lids from an inside gate he would have been on the arm running time, should lead here from the two and win.
Race 9. 9.25PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Winlock Thor – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
His race is usually won and lost in the first fifty metres and with Handsome Jack drawn to his inside he should get the perfect trail into the race.
If he’s able to sit on that runner he’ll slowly close him down with his powerful middle-section, looks and each-way special at the price.
Race 10. 9.47PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Roxy Ouzo – $16 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another well over the odds that on her day is well and truly capable of coming out and trumping this field, unlike a lot of these in a winner here before showing customary early dash on that occasion.
There’s no speed outside that should affect her run to the first turn, may weaken late but well worth a play.
Race 11. 10.07PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Midday Snooze – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has taken to The Meadows as well as you could have asked for winning first up in 30.08 two starts and backing it up with a strong second from back in the field.
Has shown he can overcome middle-draws in the past and looks poised to add another city win to his resume.
Race 12. 10.27PM Happy Retirement Cheryl Grade 5 – 600 metres
#7 Gintoki Bale – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Incredibly well graded here, was a last start winner over the 660 metres and has been right around the mark over the middle-distance and the sprint.
Small field gives him more room to operate, should be winning this by a gap.
