The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.39PM TAB Long May We Play Final Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres

#5 Curly Top – Bet Now

Tough race to kick things off plenty of different form lines and not much racing experience, Curly Top has to be respected here, his last three runs producing two wins and s second at the track and trip.

He’s a big strong dog who’s not always the best away and will need a few breaks from box five but has won here in 30.20 and recent form has him right around the mark for another win.

Race 2. 6.58PM Shepparton to The Meadows Final Restricted Win – 525 metres

#2 Stardom – Bet Now

Only out of the placings once in his first seven starts including three wins at the provincial tracks looks to be the perfect time to step up to the plate at metropolitan level.

Last five starts read two first and three seconds, is consistently good away from the inside his three wins coming from boxes two and three.

Should make his own luck early and be the one the rest are trying to run down.

Race 3. 7.18PM Sky racing Final Grade – 525 metres

#2 Rock and Roll – Bet Now

Son of Walk Hard has found his best form recently a close up second behind Fire Legend leading to consecutive victories from box four at this track and trip where his box manners have been exemplary.

Knows the track well winning plenty of races here, has 600 metre pedigree as well.

If he can jump well again and be close enough to the lead first time past the post he’ll be the one to beat.

Race 4. 7.35PM Sequential Property Services Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres

#8 Weblec Jack – Bet Now

Has been racing he best of the best in Victoria, Simon Told Helen and Leon Bale have beaten him recently but he’s been far from disgraced.

Finished a couple of lengths of Weblec Ace last start at the track and trip, comes up with box eight again which he hasn’t won out of but has plenty of success from the six and seven.

Race 5. 7.58PM Gr8 Eight Series Special event – 525 metres

#4 Christo Bale – Bet Now

Hampered early last start in Free For All company could easily have packed it in but came from the tail of the field to rattle home into third.

This looks his race to win, box four is ideal with a vacant outside him he should be able to muster the first through strides and accelerate through to lead.

Has been running PB’s week after week, if he hits the top it’s lights out.

Race 6. 8.20Pm TOPCAT Video Mixed 4/5 – 725 metres

#4 Here’s Tears – Bet Now

Very good last week behind True Detective just found one better on the night in a field worthy of Group status.

Has been consistently racing the best dogs over the staying trips at Sandown and The Meadows, has a great field sense and always gives himself a chance in races like this, in a weaker field than his last start he can go one better.

Race 7. 8.42PM Feikuia Greyhound Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres

#1 Sixties Rocker – Bet Now

Happy to take the short quote about this dog who comes up with the same draw he had last week when he roared away from them in dominant fashion.

Even on that occasion didn’t begin as well as he can and is only improving the more six hundred metre races he gets in his legs, look for a similar result to last week in even quicker time.

Race 8. 9.05PM Vic Business Challenge Mixed 3/4 – 525 metres

#5 Aston Silk – Bet Now

Benn up against some smart types lately Black Opium, Short Pork and Mepunga Isla all slightly getting the better of him, back to The Meadows for the first time since he ran 30.13 in winning at the track in April looks well placed.

Lektra Yoyo in box four should give him plenty of room early to get across and in the first couple early and has the strength to finish it off.

Race 9. 9.30PM themeadows.org.au Grade 5 – 525 metres

#5 Special Victim – Bet Now

Exciting progeny of Kinloch Brae in the might Anthony Azzopardi kennel at his best looks to have a leg up on this field.

Has won her in 29.97 before and middle boxes don’t seem to bother him, a demolition job running 29.51 to win from box four two starts back at Sandown gave a glimpse of his potential with plenty more to come.

Race 10. 9.47PM Home of Ten Group One’s Grade 5 – 525 metres

#3 Be So Good – Bet Now

Has the ability to really burn early which he’ll rely on heavily here, looks the clear leader from box three with no speed inside and could set up a break early.

Has winning form at the track recently and much preferred drawn the inside of the track, can get tired late but seeing him backed up each week is a sign he’s getting stronger.

Race 11. 10.03PM TAB.COM.AU Grade 5 – 525 metres

#8 Phantom Call – Bet Now

Really well boxed here to come up with win number four in a promising young career, that includes a 30.09 best at The Meadows and a last start win from box eight at Shepparton.

Takes a little while to wind up but should get that chance from out deep on the track with speed inside set to crash for the fence.

Race 12. 10.27PM Every Race on the Watchdog App Live Grade 5 – 525 metres

#2 Barefoot Barry – Bet Now

Honest chaser whose recent form has been right around the mark without winning, his one trip to The Meadows he ran second in 30.38 to Idria Bale who would win this.

The low draw is not a negative if he can show some decent box manners should be right on the pace, Gypsy Bun has talent in the eight but is unproven over the distance and has the box to overcome.
