The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 7.08PM TAB.COM.AU Maiden Final – 525 metres
#2 Aston Alpha – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Caught the eye on his Meadows debut coming from off the speed to run down the leaders, prior to that had raced twice at Sandown without luck from box four, looks like a dog who needs luck early and should get it from box two.
Showed if he can find a spot midfield he’s up there with the strongest of this group and should be the one finishing with a flourish.
Race 2. 7.27PM Sky Racing Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#7 Ozark Bale – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big powerful type who isn’t likely to be up with the leaders early but has a big motor and can really wind up from back in the field.
Is likely to have to cover ground early from the seven but is best suited in the run outside dogs with the ability to pass as he’s done in a couple of runner-up performances at track and trip.
Race 3. 7.49PM Warrnambool to The Meadows Final Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Lots of Chatter – $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a good thing here was excellent winning at Warrnambool in quick time from a middle box and has a tonne of experience here at The Meadows, a 29.81 best.
Has won four times off the three only eclipsed by five from box one, recently beat Equalizer and finished behind Jax Bale at Cranbourne which is great form for this.
Race 4. 8.08PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 Final – 525 metres
#6 Chun Li – $12 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This bitch is an each-way gold mine, consistently goes up at double digit quotes and storms home into the placings, she does have the knockout ability to jump and lead on her night which would see her winning.
Even if things don’t go her way early from the six she won’t stop chasing and give punters great bang for their buck.
Race 5. 8.27PM TOPCAT Video Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Junk Food Junkie – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Chaser that gives it absolutely everything each time he goes out, has exceptional early and mid-race speed, can get tired especially here at The Meadows but if he opens up a gap can be off and gone.
Down significantly in grade, has been racing Tiggerlong Tonk, Fernando Bluey and Lots of Chatter in his last five, easiest race he’s seen for a while.
Race 6. 8.45PM The Meadows Conference and Events Centre Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#8 Arizona Eyes – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
First time seeing the six hundred at the Meadows and it should be right up her alley, as a sprinter was explosive on her run home and has stayed up to the 650 metre distances at provincial tracks.
She’ll have to leave well from box eight but if she finds herself midfield one off the fence could easily power over the top of these.
Race 7. 9.08PM themeadows.org.au Grade 4 – 525 metres
#5 Winlock Thor – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Always races well here lives up to his name with a sharp turn of foot mid-race and a powerful finish, would prefer drawn closer to the fence but he’ll get his chance to sit outside the speed and go by late.
Gets back to his favourite track for the first time in a while has been jumping well over shorter trips will be right in it if he leaves well here.
Race 8. 9.27PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Free for All – 525 metres
#4 Christo Bale – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Coming off a couple of huge runs winning his Australian Cup Heat and running a belter of a final from box eight, none of his counterparts from that race have pushed on here and from box four with a vacant outside looks a massive threat.
May have to take the trail on the six early but can jump out of the ground late.
Race 9. 9.45PM Feukuai Greyhounds Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Bahati Bale – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Youngster on the rise has yet to put it all together at The Meadows yet but strikes this race in great touch a 29.58 winner at Sandown last start and from box one should test them early.
Has a markedly better record when drawn close to the fence, adds a few lengths which he may need over the 525 metres.
Race 10. 10.08PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Colden Dayto – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks an each-way special here, hasn’t been living up to punters expectations going under as a favourite in tougher races, but just hadn’t had things his way with a touch of luck it’ll turn.
Should get away well from the two if he can find the rail he won’t let go of it, can be touch and go late but at the price is the value.
Race 11. 10.27PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Impress Shades – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Last weeks run at the track and trip was full of merit, slow away and posted in the eight he continued to make ground on the leaders cutting a wide margin to just under three lengths in good time on the line.
Second up over the 525 for a while should be better for the run and if he settles closer has shown he does good work late.
Race 12. 10.48PM Join the 525 Club Now Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Origami Angel – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has the class and experience edge on these, has won multiple races here with a best of 30.02 and always does her best work off the inside three boxes.
Second to Hilltop Jack in thirty seconds dead two starts ago here is strong form, she gets more favours here and should be winning.
