The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.37PM Sky Racing Grade 7 – 525 metres
#4 Rebel Riot – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has the most consistent form of this young lot, just the one win from seven starts but has placed in his last five having to work overtime from wide draws from box five out.
Looks to be chomping at the bit for the extra distance, has been abbreviating margins late, should get a good run behind the leaders.
Race 2. 6.59PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 6 – 520 metres
#2 Invictus Ethan – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was apart of some big races here in his first few starts, he wasn’t quite up to the standard, but has gone back to the provincials for two wins and two placings since.
Both those wins came from box one, he obviously enjoys being near the fence and having the two is the second-best thing, should have the camp on the red who’s the likely leader.
Race 3. 7.18PM Meadows Conference and Events Centre Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Bahati Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t put the results on the board many expected his last few runs but has gone under against a good one in Got the Torque who races at Wentworth Park in Group One heats.
This dog is capable of romping home in this field, a 29.58 all the way winner at Sandown Park, if he finds those box manners, he should lead these and get back on track.
Race 4. 7.38PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#4 Christo Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has just been a tad dour at box rise which has been costing him in Free for All company over the sprint, he’s till finishing powerfully into the placings and back up to the six hundred looks ideal.
He gets another middle draw but has room to move with a vacant box outside him, if he’s able to sit just off the speed he’ll make his move mid-race, is going too good not to win.
Race 5. 7.58PM Shepparton to The Meadows Grade 5 Final – 525 metres
#1 That’s Easy – Bet @ Sportsbet
This son of Fernando Bale was a last start winner over the 460 metres at Shepparton in good time, but in the past has covered as much as the 660 metres, with The Meadows 525 right in the middle it looks the ideal landing point.
Is always in the first half of the field on the jump and if he can hold a stalking position looks the one with the strength to burst through late.
Race 6. 8.17PM TAB.COM.AU Final Grade 5 – 600 metres
#1 Flying Lantern – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the most exciting middle-distance prospects going around, tried to get over the seven hundred in Brisbane but was run down late has regrouped well with quick wins at Sandown and The Meadows on return.
Comes up with the plumb draw where he should drive through and probably lead these and have too much sustained speed over the trip.
Race 7. 8.38PM themeadows.org.au Grade 5 – 600 metres
#2 Carry On Liam – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has looked ripe for a step up in distance for some time running some eye-catching placings over the sprint, first went to the 595 at Sandown running second to the talented Pilbara and then ran third over the 680 at Geelong.
Distance is not going to be a problem here, but he’ll want to be in front of dogs like Zipping Rambo in the run who have a superior turn of foot.
Race 8. 9.00PM Camerson Wilson Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#2 Wallbanger – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been consistent as ever in some tough races bouncing between the four hundred, five hundred and six hundred he finds his pet distance here and is drawn well to press forward from box two.
Has always been a powerful type who often looms up in the middle and run home sectionals, always gives himself a chance with race sense and is due for a win here.
Race 9. 9.18PM Join the 525 Club Now Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Ulricken Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another who has been threatening to break through for a win but hasn’t quite got it right racing at the one turn tracks, comes back to the Meadows where he’s a good winner in the past and draws well in the three.
Has been beginning with them over the shorts, if he can bring that pace he should be up front early and every chance of running out the trip.
Race 10. 9.37PM Feikuai Greyhound Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 New Jack Swing – Bet @ Sportsbet
Clear pattern emerging with this greyhounds’ results when he draws the inside boxes he inevitably wins or runs well and has struggled from draws off the track up until las start where he showed great early speed to be a runaway 29.89 winner.
Confidence should be at an all time high and back in box three will get every hope of repeating the dose this week.
Race 11. 9.57PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Major Giblet – Bet @ Sportsbet
It’s lead or bust with this runner, but in an open field with no other searing early speed he’ll be making his own luck out in front, can take the short ones late but should come up a good each-way price anyway.
Has been drawn off the track his last five and never fired a shot, is the type of dog that can have it all click.
Race 12. 10.20PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Ask for More – Bet @ Sportsbet
Speedy type who’d only raced well around the one turns until a dazzling 29.42 win at Sandown a couple of weeks ago, announcing himself as a talent.
Has a good record from out wide over the shorter distances and the run to the first corner will be crucial to his chances here.
